Less than 19 hours ago, I chose to order some seafood from the Skrimp Shack (in the military highway area of Norfolk Virginia)... via Doordash. My husband and I initially talked about ordering food from here this past Thursday, and I finally got around toordering the food yesterday (Saturday). The driver who gave my food to me was cordial and timely with the food delivery and theseafood I ordered was delicious. I selected the lunch portion of the Mahi Mahi fish basket with fried okra while my husbandchose to have the shrimp poboy sandwich (luckily my hubby also enjoyed his sandwich). The only caveat is that the online featureallowed an ordering option to select rootbeer and I received a drinking cup minus the rootbeer. When I shared this with thedriver he acknowledged how I felt though he admitted that he was given my food order minus the drink (I let it go because thedrink was free of charge). Aside from that rootbeer drink caveat, my hubby and I both agreed that we would still both bereceptive to eventually getting food from the Skrimp Shack again. Read more
This is what i get for a almost hr wait taste like it was warmed up in a microwave and fries was greasy and soggy and Cold . My... BF had gotten Mac and cheese and It was Ice Cold smh . We had a great visit. We came in as a large group and they had our food ready very quickly. It was all delicious and large... portions. They also have a nice variety of condiments so you can have your order just how you want it. Read more
Very disappointed. I went here because new dishes that just came out popped on my news feed. I IMMEDIATELY head over to try the... Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the spicy skrimp basket. Upon opening the bag at home I noticed that both items did NOT looklike what was pictured and what I was looking forward too. The sandwich did not have Nashville hot sauce around the chicken likein the picture, and the Skrimp basket was missing the peppers and onions in the picture. This place was surprisingly decent. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. She reminded us that we... could get the grilled option as well as the deep fried. It is a better option than L.J.S. if you have a hankering for friedfast-food seafood. The food came out pretty quickly and they brought it to the table. This place has a nice selection of seafood for the price. I went in the evening so it was very busy. The cashier and cooks were... busy filling orders and attending customers but were always very friendly and welcoming! I purchased two fish and shrimp platesand hush puppies with macaroni and cheese and a 1 gallon tea. The fish and shrimp were cooked well, not too hard or soft but themacaroni and cheese was not as appetizing. It's an white cheese macaroni that really lacked the flavor of a traditionalmacaroni. The tea was fresh brewed and was very good to accent the meal. Great place, nice people! Read more
