If you take a door dash order here be ready to wait 45 min. They keep closing the dine-in lobby and reopening and re-closing... it, the drive thru line stretches all the way to the street. Long waiting in the line. Long waiting to make the order. Make the order for spicy chicken. Pull to the window. I'd made sure... and asked the drive-up person that my chicken was going to be spicy. He confirmed it with the person pulling chicken. The personpulling the chicken was putting mild chicken in the box and heard what he'd said and started putting them back to get spicy.This has happened too many times for me. I don't think it's worth the wait for the chicken. This is the sad world we live inwhen you order 'Spicy' chicken and the workers put 'mild' chicken in a box for you. It's already bad enough, the competitoracross the street used to be Church's and now it's a coffee place. And then a few months ago, someone crashed into the front ofthe Popeye's location. I may just get my chicken from Food Lion. At least i don't have to wait a half hour to get the wrongorder. Read more
In my opinion, this is the best Popeyes in the 757. The food is always hot and fresh and the service is amazing. I just went... through the line today 9/2/22 @ 4: 55. I ordered a 2 piece combo mild/ dark meat with red beans and rice, a Diet Coke and anapple pie. Everything was so hot and fresh and the crew was amazing. I just had an overall positive experience. Stacking the containers up and side by side may look equivalent but when u look inside the small ones it's nowhere near equal to each other. Popeyes u ripping people off big time. This was my very first Popeyes experience, and it did not disappoint. I am very impressed with the chicken sandwich, the fries... and the lemonade. I expected disappoinment since that is what is usually served up at fast food restaurants. Instead I ampleasantly surprised. Read more
Less than 8 hours ago, I ordered some food from the Popeyes in Norfolk Virginia (the Hampton boulevard location). The employee... dealing with my order was polite and my husband and I enjoyed our food (my husband had the three piece chicken tender withmashed potatoes and biscuit while I selected the 8 piece chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce that was very delish. I am very dissatisfied with the food I received from Popeyes tonight. I ordered the tacklebox some of the shrimp was soggy and... others had the uncooked batter still on them. This was totally unacceptable. They didn't have to rush my order out. If it wasn'tready I would have gladly pulled over to the side and waited! Attached is a picture of what I received. Whoever said their chicken sandwich was better than Chick-fil-A needs their taste buds checked. It was greasy and just horrible.... Plus, the rice & beans were literally 3 bites. Ordered unsweetened tea, got sweetened tea. Not good for diabetes and had to tossor after one sip. Sorry, won't be going back ever. Read more
