Plaza del Sol is under new management, and the new owner makes some of the best food I have ever had. A new menu is in the works... to be released soon, and the birria that I personally had was amazing. Perfectly cooked and you can tell that a lot of time, love, and care was put in to making the best birria that could be made. The new owner is very proud of what he does and itshows. Read more

Second time coming here with my friend. I really like this place. The food is good and affordable. The service is excellent. I... wish I could remember our servers name from tonight, but they went above expectations! Another big plus is they could tell thatthe music was too loud for me without me even saying anything (at the time I was trying to figure out if there was a speakerabove our table ????). They quickly offered to turn it down for me and I really appreciated that. I will definitely come backhere again and bring my husband next time! Read more

This restaurant has its own parking, friendly staff, tasty food, and delicious drinks. Ralph is a very sweet and accomodatable... server. He offered true insight of his own preferences off the menu and helped me decide what I actually want. I was broughtfresh tortilla chips, red salsa, and creamy white sauce. I ordered a jumbo Texas margarita and the Chori Pollo with grilledshrimp added to my chicken. The meal came with rice, beans, and tortillas. Overall this was worth the price and tasted reallygreat. Ralph was attentive and very considerate. The owner was also a nice guy. He came around to take my plate when I wasfinished. Read more

The service is generally slow but kind and super thorough. Don't go if you're in a hurry but if you want to have an experience... with folks you enjoy being around a while. The food is top notch, the drink menu is fun, and I've always left happy. Read more

I walked into a friendly environment where I was greeted by their servant. 18 years and going, this family owned restaurant... makes great Tacos for the family. But don't ignore the other parts of their menu, you'll regret it. Read more

Very pricy for great value oven baked French fries topped with 1/4 of a tomato, 1/4 cup sour cream, flavorless beef and some... McDonald?s lettuce. Also the music was way to loud inside. Read more

I waited 27 mins for a to go order. Ordered a combo with two chicken quesadillas comes with rice and beans. Also added a side of... rice and a side of beans. Received my bag and noticed it was light. Was missing my combo?s rice and beans sides. The clearlyrushing server informed me they combined my combos sides with my separately ordered al la carte sides. I?m like that doesn?tmake sense. I ordered a combo with 2 sides and ordered sides on the side for a reason. He goes back to the kitchen, proceeds tobring me just a container of rice. Im like Sir. I still need beans. So after wading through his clear frustrations and lack oflistening skills. I proceed to drive back to Hampton to open my meal to two PLAIN CHEESE quesadillas like I ordered this mealfor a 4 year old. I have Been calling them since yesterday when I placed my order to no avail. They opened at 11am on Sunday. Its now 1:30pm no one has answered the phone yet. Its ridiculous the lack of communication skills. I discovered this place afterattending a food festival in Va Beach. I Drive out my way to Norfolk to get food and simple attention to detail cannot be givenand hasnt been observed. The restaurant wasnt even busy. Not understanding why I waited almost 30 mins for cheese quesadillasnor understanding why I cant get anyone on the phone at all starting Saturday when i made my order and Sunday (today) stilltrying to reach out to anyone. Clearly I have to drive through the tunnel again to go in person to get some sort of resolutionto this issue. But at this point its worth me never stepping foot in this place again. Hopefully this serves as a warning to allthose placing orders to double check behind to ensure the money you paid for your order isnt just sitting in the businesspockets that cannot answer the phone. I provided nice photos of my plain food and many calls to them that rung out unanswered. Ithank you for pushing me to continue the search for authentic food and amazing staff and business t Read more

Priced well, Lots of seating in enclosed outside area. Clean dining area and restrooms. You have options: Men?s, women?s and... unisex rest rooms. Mexican themed decor. I don?t think anyone would miss the plastic pots and fake flowers. Service was so-so. Ricardo would walk by and pick up my glass and return with a refill without speaking. I noticed he was more chatty with a trioof older ladies that were regulars. So that?s promising. Chips, salsa and white sauce were delivered as soon as I sat down andI needed a few minutes to decide on lunch since it was my first time there. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Then I found agray hair in it half way through lunch. So I didn?t care that it didn?t taste good. The white sauce was ok but not as tasty assome other local Mexican restaurants like La Herradura and Plaza Azteca. If you want a second round of chips it?s $1.00. Ithink that?s fair. Although most restaurants provide unlimited chips and salsa. I always like to order something that has sourcream and guacamole so that?s what I look for on the menu. I ordered a fried beef chimichanga with sour cream, guacamole saladand option of beans or rice. I ordered it with beans. It was delivered with sour cream only and rice. Ricardo walked by anddropped it off and kept going. It took me about 10 minutes to get his attention and tell him that I got the wrong order. Minewas supposed to be with beans and the guacamole was missing. So a few minutes later he delivered a chimichanga that had notbeen fried, with beans and salad with guacamole but no sour cream. A fried chimichanga stands up to the cheese queso pouredover it but a tortilla that has not been fried gets soft and gooey under the cheese sauce. Some people like that but I like itfried so it?s still kinda crunchy. At least he got the beans right. Well, although I said excuse me several times as he andanother server walked by, I never got their attention so I just ate the shredded beef out of the Read more
