Right time, right place, right choice. A Monday night dinner at an upscale restaurant. The atmosphere was friendly & cozy. The... service was exceptional. Our server,Matthew, was thorough, professional & personable. He suggested the perfect wine for me when Ionly said 1 word( now I've got to find that wine again). In fact, his coworkers were a well oiled team (clearing tables, fillingglasses etc) . The food was delectable.I had the Onion Soup(hot & tasty), and Prime Rib(tender & flavorful) with Apricot BrandyBread pudding(delicious). My dining partner had She Crab Soup,Broiled Seafoodpltter with Crab cake & a generous slice ofStrawberry Cheesecake. He was well fed & pleased as well with his meal. Don't let the prices scare you. It's worth it intaste, ambiance & experience. Read more
It was fine. When we saw the amazing reviews we thought this would be a slam dunk for our trip but we weren?t all that... impressed. It?s cool that it?s in an old church, but it really feels like they bought an old church and did nothing to it exceptadd tables and chairs. It shows that it needs some major updates and cleaning from over the years. We started with the awardwinning she-crab soup. It was good but nothing to write home about. Then I had the herb steak pasta. The sauce was good but thesteak was rubbery and didn?t have much flavor. My husband had the shrimp Gouda pasta and that was better that the steak butstill not incredible. For the price, we expected much better quality. Maybe we are spoiled coming from a foodie area with greatfood and overall restaurant experiences but this just didn?t hit the mark for us. Read more
Overall a decent place. Ordered the 10oz prime rib, bang bang shrimp, she crab soup, and calamari. Prime rib - pretty... disappointing prime rib. They put the prime rib on top of the potatoes and not enough room on the plate to cut the meat withoutmashing the potatoes and vegetable everywhere. The vegetable mix was very bland and was pretty much bunch of onions on mine (notvery well portioned between two plates). The meat was okay. 6/10 Calamari - tasted store bought. Not much else to it. 6/10 Shecrab soup - it was actually pretty good. Not too many crab pieces with shells still attached to it. 8/10 Bangbang shrimp -probably the best thing we ate. It was crunchy and the sauce was good. 9/10 Overall it was a decent experience. Our serverseemed to cover too many tables alone which meant he only came to our table to either bring us food/drink but didn't reallycheck in much besides that. Who I assume was the manager had to visit us to help him out later. Read more
This place was so cool! And on top of that the food was amazing. Their she-crab soup was to die for! I got the salmon as well... and it had a nice, unique glaze to it. My mom got the bang bang shrimp and that was soooo good. They have a lot of greatoptions! I loved everything I tried and will definitely be going back. Read more
