Famous Uncle Al's on Military Hwy Update 09-15-2022 My previous experience was so good, I had to go back! Before, hot dogs... were of a lower priority to me. I don't necessarily crave them and I never had a favorite hotdog before until Famous Uncle Al'sHot Dogs & Grille introduced me to the San Antonio Dog. It's the only Famous Al's location that serves them. And, it's totallydelicious! We're talking a hotdog with chilli mixed with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, and jalapenos. Don't worry! The jalapenosgive it a slight kick, but it's not really spicy and that's a good thing. I also got the fresh cut fries and the very deliciousAl's Cheeseburger with double meat this time. I highly recommend Military Hwy location of Famous Uncle Al's! The hotdog was sogood, I ordered another one! (9-11-2022) On 1269 North Military Hwy in Norfolk, Famous Uncle Al's Hot Dogs gave me a tasty Al'sCheeseburger and a delicious Virginia Beach Chili Cheese Dog. Not bland at all! The hot dog even has that slight snap to it. Thecrinkle fries round it off! Both the burger and the chili dog were sincerely made and not manufactured like a fast food place.It has a sports atmosphere vibe with the cook very knowledgeable while he wears a jersey. Food here is delicious, but this last time I came in left a really sour taste in my mouth. Walked inside to a restaurant with... maybe 6 people in there. Sat down for 10 minutes without anybody even acknowledging me. The two people who work there were toobusy socializing with the other guests to care that I sat down. Finally ended up getting up and leaving because I already drove25 minutes to get here. I didn?t wanna waste anymore of my time. I work in a restaurant and have for the last 11 years. I get ifit?s busy and you can?t get to a guest immediately. But there were only a few people in there :( Read more

The snap in the dogs are nice. The buns are so soft...maybe too soft because they fell apart when I picked up my dogs to eat... them. The flavor was good though.
