This place leaves me speechless every time. From the service, to the food to management (or the lack thereof). With that said,... I'd like to publicly offer you my services to help you improve. Attached is our dine in 8oz fish & chips that was listed onhappy hour, but couldn't get for happy hour price because our server didn't get to us. She was apologetic, but everything wentdownhill from there. I don't get the Google reviews hype because in the streets, this is not the place to be for service,quality or consistency in the right direction. Update Aug: placed takeout order for the Boss lady salmon salad. The salad was really good, it came with a citrus vinaigrette... and feta cheese, croutons and candied walnuts and cranberries This is my first time here and I ordered the Queen Rosa P's Fish.I got the fried whiting and it comes with 2 sides, I chose greens beans with smoked turkey and Mac n cheese and a sweet roll. Let me tell you about Boss Queens! Walk into an atmosphere that's fun, relaxed, and welcoming with good music, conversation,... and the tv going, like you waiting on Sunday dinner at grandma's. The food? OMG! It's called soul food for a reason and BossQueens got it right. Seafood Grits = creamy, seasoned, thick, fiery goodness that hit like a ton of bricks with every bite! So me and 2ic.. came in town for the night. For family reasons. So when we got in we were starving. And wanted something to eat... before heading in for the night. We both were in the mood for soul food. So we googled some places and landed on boss queens.The vibe amone was nice. It is like a sports bar restaurant lounge.. we were seated in a timely manner. And the server cameover also in a timely manner to get our drinks. The sweet tea was on point. Places be like they got sweat tea but taste likewatered down tea. So that was alone was pleasant. The food we ordered came out formally fast. We were shocked. Since it isn't afast food spot. The food we ordered was popping!!! I definitely can see myself coming back. We came in to order takeout. The atmosphere can only be described as a vibe! The decor is relaxing and the music is SO good. The... service we received was very good. Even with the staff being under the pressure of a fresh opening. They performed amazingly. Itore the fries up. I wasn?t expecting the spice on the Mac, but it was good. The pork chop gravy was on the salty side. Sodouble up on your blood pressure medicine before you go, but definitely go. Because the hands on that kitchen are blessed. Food is absolutely delicious but was not completely happy with my order tonight. I ordered a bunch of sides and I was really... looking forward to the cabbage. Unfortunately it wasn't much cabbage in the container compared to my other sides. I meansignificantly less. I'm assuming they were running low and gave me what was left. Which is disappointing. I paid for a full sideof cabbage so that's what I wanted. I ordered it on door dash cause I could not leave the house so I definitely did not want tohave to take it up there so I'm just leaving a review. I've worked in the culinary industry for 18 years now. Please give yourcustomers full portions of what they pay for. Don't care if it's a spoonful off. Give them that spoon full or say you are out.Your business reputation depends on that. Your staff should not feel comfortable sending things out of your kitchen halfwayright. My new favorite place! From the moment I walked in I was impressed! This is such a beautiful establishment and was very clean! I... loved the music that was being played as well! Very comforting atmosphere. I ordered the fish & grits and when I tell you thiswas delicious, I mean it!!! Very well seasoned, the texture of the grits was spot on and the presentation was phenomenal! I lovethis sauce and the catfish as well! Great customer service here and very welcoming!
