First time eating here and was really disappointed. We did takeout. The food wasn?t good. The beef from the beef and broccoli... was slimy and mushy, so much so that I could only eat one piece. The lady we spoke to at the counter was impatient and rude, notjust to us but to the people on the phone while we were waiting for our food. My toddler did like the sweet and sour chickenthough, so that?s why they get two stars. I don?t plan on ever eating here again. Read more
This place was decent 5 years ago, now the food is rushed & not hot, nothing tastes fresh. It tastes like buffet food not made... to order. Staff isn?t friendly. I wish they cared more. Read more
I?ve enjoyed this restaurant for years but recently there appears to be a much different staff?..could care less. There are 3... booths full of kids toys that belong to one of their kids. Read more
The food is good however they neglect to give you duck sauce or hardly any fortune cookies now. You can?t eat an egg roll... without Duck Sauce Read more

Great value, authentic Chinese food. Everything I've had here in my 5 visits has been very tasty with good portion sizes, with... a very fair amount of meat for the price. They even give me a couple bags of twisty crackers or whatever they're called. Nevergotten those anywhere else. My only issue is I like my egg drop soup a little more thin and watery like a wonton broth, so lesscorn starch would be perfect for me. Next time I'll make sure to ask for that. Of course, that would be Americanizing the eggdrop, since in China they often go very heavy with the corn starch, which the Western palate isn't really use to. Love the "triple delight", my favorite on the menu! We've always ordered take out from this simple, small restaurant, but have... never been disappointed with our dishes. This is our second time ordering take out from New China and we are pleasantly surprised at the tasty & fresh food coming out of... this small establishment! The Lo Mein had that nice smoky & deep flavor from a well seasoned wok, all the assorted protein(pork, chicken, beef, shrimp) were flavorful & cooked to perfection. Same with the vegetables & chicken in the szechuan chickenentree. Too many Chinese restaurants fail to deliver in true flavor and freshness but I feel that the chef at New Chinarestaurant cares about the food he is putting together in that kitchen. I'm just sorry that we are only visiting the area butplease give this restaurant a try if you're anywhere in the Nokomis area!!! Read more
