We've heard a lot of great reviews about 1st Place Cafe and since we were in the area around dinner last night, we decided to... give it a try. We called in a pickup order and they were ready right on time, checkout was quick and easy. One of the mostconsistent things we've heard about 1st Place Cafe is that the portion sizes are very large. Knowing that, we were somewhatprepared for a big sandwich and a good bit of fries. We were still blown away by how enormous the portions were, they'reabsolutely gigantic. The Nashville Blue chicken sandwiches we got took up most of a full size plate, and even with a very largepile of fries on our plates, we still had a ton of fries left over. So yes, the portions here are huge. The food itself wasgreat. I'm usually not a huge fan of very skinny fries but these are perfectly crunchy and well seasoned, making them veryenjoyable. The Nashville Blue chicken sandwich was excellent, the spice level was pretty much perfect to give a pleasant heatbut not enough to make it painful, and the blue cheese sauce provided a good counter to the heat. The breading was crispy andperfectly fried. The buns were soft but still held up well to the weight of the sandwich. Overall, just a very well mademeal. Although the menu prices may seem a little high, when you see the amount you're getting, they're completely fair. Ireally can't overstate enough how huge these portions are. We definitely got our money's worth and still haveleftovers. Definitely give 1st Place Cafe a try, the food is great, and the prices are very fair for the portions you get. Read more
This establishment was superbly clean and the staff, including the owner, were very friendly. I appreciated being walked through... the admittedly limited menu. The portion of fresh cut fries was delicious and large enough I could only finish half on an emptystomach. The chicken sandwich was in the top three of any I?ve ever had and the owner accommodated my request for extra bluecheese. Prices are in line with what I would expect for this quality of food and I look forward to many repeat visits. Read more

The food is really good. The restaurant is tiny but sparkling clean. The people really treated me kindly?actually sat and... chatted a bit. You have to try the blue cheese sauce. It?s creative and yummy. The chicken legs were good but kind ofovershadowed by the delicious , huge mound of homemade, fresh cut French fries. Read more
