Reviews for The Rainbow Room in Niagara Falls, ON
I ordered provolone stuffed chicken. The waitress even took the time to describe how amazing and tasty this chicken is as one of... her favs. To my surprise, It came out over done and dry like cardboard with NO provolone. There was nothing stuffed in thechicken at all and the risotto was bland and still little crunchy in center like it was under done. So I did mention it to theserver, she was very kind and apologetic she offered to take it back for a new one, but at that point we had been waiting overan hour for our meals I was not prepared to wait any longer so I told her dont worry about it. But I'll be honest, I was hopingfor a discount or something as this is not a cheap place to eat and my dinner was very disappointing. When it came time to paythe bill the waitress informed me that they removed my after-dinner tea from the bill as an apology for the bad dinnerexperience..... so..thanks for the free boiled water??? ??????? only in Niagara! Note to the management. Excellent views. Decent Service. Food was poor quality. 1) The cook making the Omelette is skimping on... the ingredients. It?s like a one egg omelette. 2) The Bacon is dry. Not edible. 3) The potatoes is hard and dry. Not edible. 4)The fruits are low quality. Pineapple is sour. 5) Breads are stale. 6) Suggestion: Change or retrain the cooks. Customers arepaying good money for food that is not cook well. Read more
Very convenient restaurant for breakfast if you're staying at the hotel. Found it a bit overpriced but all the food was fresh... and tasted great. Staff was very kind and welcoming as well. Great view and good experience overall. Read more
My fiancé and I dined here this past weekend on our last night in Niagara Falls. We both really enjoyed the food, and the view... was incredible! The vegetarian options were fantastic, and the service was great. We also loved the dim lights (so that everyonecould truly appreciate the illumination of the Falls at night) and the atmosphere was cozy. We will definitely be back wheneverwe visit Canada again! I grew up in NY eating food in hard core Italian Neighborhoods. The food here is incredible. The service is bubbly if not more... bubbly then your favourite Starbucks. The staff is eager and ready to please. But the food it is absolutely incredible try thehalibut, try the rack of lamb, try the peanut butter mousse thingy that they serve. The bar is perfect and surprisingly theprices match if not exceed what you should be paying for a good meal. You will be surprised however at the prix fixe. It?s ahuge value in just a relaxing fun place to have a meal. This is quite possibly the best restaurant in Niagara Falls. It?scertainly worth what you pay. This is a glorious dining experience with great wines. Read more
The rainbow room is a great place for a romantic dinner or special occasion! Both the food and view of the falls is spectacular.
Went to dinner last night. Upon entry of the restaurant room walking out of the elevator was a really fresh and soothing... atmosphere. The host was very welcoming. The waitor then led us to our table with the most amazing view in pretty much all ofNiagara overlooking the entire falls. My fiancee and I chose the 4 course dinner meal with the wine pairing options for eachcourse. Each course was prepared perfectly, and the food was amazing and very flavorful. We chose the lasagna and calamari forappetizer, and ricotta stuffed pasta with veal, 11oz black truffle angus striploin for the entree, and for dessert we chose thebrulee and peanut butter tower. The only gripe I had was the waitress (Don't remember her name but I think starts with a "D").She was responsible for bringing the wine pairings, which were for every course. We were okay with it being brought to us a bitlate and the waitress seemed to have a nice personality at the time. When our bill came and we paid, we tipped $10.00. I thinkfor 2 hours of eating time thats okay. When the waitress saw the tip amount she became quite rude with her behaviour. She had anexpectation and her behaviour was not professional, which took away from the positive experience we had. I would have given 5stars if it wasn't for the waitress. We are food fanatics, but I'm sorry that we won't be coming back here because fine diningis a cumulative experience, meaning its not only about the quality of the food. All that aside, we still had a memorableexperience! Read more
