Had an incredible dining experience at this establishment. The food itself was amazing, and I have to emphasize the fried... calamari. The only thing I have to say, and the reason this is not a 5 star review, was the lack of roast beef with extratomatoes. I was disappointed to hear that I could not have one of my favorite dishes. Awesome! The food, the atmosphere, the portions, the service. Nostrano is a gem. From a small, BYOB spot in Monroe to a... full-service restaurant in Newtown, Nostrano never ceases to impress. Whether you want a night out with a great meal or youneed some food catered for a party, Nostrano cant be beat. Our most recent visit was last night... I had the veal chop milaneseand a side of angel hair puttanesca. Wow... it was just awesome, the portions were generous (as are the drink pours) and ourserver, Brooke, was exceptional, as well. This place just can't be beat... When we have ordered trays of food from Nostrano forparties, they don't miss a beat... the food is terrific even when prepared in volume. One tip: order a larger tray than youthink you need... you will want the leftovers (and so will your guests)! Give this spot a try... you will be glad that you did. Read more

A great Italian restaurant. We were there in the summer and were able to sit outside. The service was great as well as the food.... We were not rushed as it should be. However, a word of warning: the seating is limited so make a reservation well in advance.MAKE A RESERVATION or you will be disappointed. We will return often when we can get in. My wife and went there for the first time for our anniversary dinner. Greeted and seated right away. Very attentive staff. Katie... did an excellent job recommending drinks and offering food suggestions. My wife had the bone in pork and I had the eggplantparm. The portions were huge and the taste outstanding!!!
