Cute shop, we buy our seasonal shrubs/flowers with the membership its actually more affordable than others around. The store... itself is fairly expensive though so we don't shop there often, but I like to get my vitamins/organic stuff there when I cansplurge. it was refreshing to see an awesome selection of gluten free and vegan items in an area that's very much meat and dairy centric.... They also have a clearance section with (nearly) expired items which means they arent creating as much waste as other storesthat throw everything away if it doesn't sell. Deli menu special - Chicken Shawarma Arabic style chicken (need to call ahead to order - fresh made)...if you haven't try it yet... you have to. You have an option to get a wrap or a bowl. I chose bowl and it was a long time before I saw the bottom. Loadedwith lettuce, cherry tomatoes, garnished with dilled pickles and red onions and spicy chicken bits topped by a creamy dressing.Nice day to sit outside and enjoy the lunch. Shukran! Well, I don't live over there, but we were in the area because of a visit to the DMV and this was a good way to make an errand... into a delightful visit. This place is totally organic! It's like Whole Foods before it turned away from a lot of organicstuff. It has an outdoor area for anything that your garden would need and an indoor juice bar and café. I got a juice thereand it was really worth it. I think that I only paid about $6. They also have a department for medicinal stuff that I didn'tlook at thoroughly, but that's definitely a big bonus that most organic markets don't have. I spoke to a woman named Karenthere and she really gave me a lot of background about this place. They are family owned and opening other markets currently. She showed my wife and I around and even got us samples of honey roasted peanut butter that they make on sight. It was a reallygood experience. She went beyond what I could have expected from a staff member there. She told me that they offer membershipsthat get you cheaper prices and that the memberships are a one time fee of $99. Although this next part was unbelievable, shesaid that it just gets paid once. No expiration? I would double check that. Anyway, my wife and I got nearly all of thegroceries that we needed without membership because they had so many sale items. We ended up spending about $80 less than weusually spend at other similar markets that aren't totally organic and they don't provide some of the great stuff that this onedoes (garden stuff, medicine). So, I would recommend this place to anyone who loves organic stuff, fresh juices or wraps, theoutdoors and gardening stuff. It's great for fitness folks and nutritional needs. Read more
I purchase items from the deli several times a week. It's nice to have a market near by that caters to food intolerances. The... deli department never disappoints. The cooks are excited about what they are making and eager for you to try a sample. Thedeli staff has the utmost patience with providing ingredients. All are happy to serve. Always a good experience. My wife and I found this great market while looking for places to shop for our Keto diet. What an excellent shop! A huge variety... of various health-conscious prepackaged foods and ingredients, and beautiful fresh produce. They even have a little deli in theback! The folks that work here are helpful and patient, and really seem to enjoy their jobs. Everyone there is veryknowledgeable about the products, and are happy to educate the customers on their selection. I happily recommend the Green LifeMarket. 5 stars! Read more
