We had a wonderful date night here with our friends. The views and atmosphere are stunning. The food was delicious and the... service was excellent. There aren't enough good things to say about this place. A well-deserved 5 stars all around. Always such a great experience when we go to Tavern. The bar is my favorite place to be seated. There are TVs and a beautiful... view of the ocean. John is the best bartender! He always makes sure you get the best drinks and experience while being atTavern. Also, our server Amber was great. She took the time to talk to us about the menu and was an overall great waitress. Ilove to start with the shrimp and a flatbread for the table. The I got the pear and prosciutto flatbread and it was delicious!For the main course, the beef dip is amazing. Food was ok, over priced brunch when there are better options close by. Service was great but food and drinks were too expensive... for how mediocre it was. No substitutions either. Do not recommend. Read more

Came here with a group of friends to grab one drink after dinner and was pretty disappointed that the server had no idea that... they served flights of beer. I had to show her the menu to confirm. I would be more understanding if it was a huge menu but thedrink menu is pretty small and there are only 4 draft beers, all off which come in the flight. The beers were good and everyoneelse's drinks were fine. Just that one thing threw me off, i would expect that in a regular restaurant but not at higher-endrestaurant in Newport beach sitting on the harbor. Read more
I can honestly say this is one of the best dinning experiences I have had in socal. Went to celebrate my birthday and was... greeted with great service at the door from the hostess. She was extremely nice and had wonderful energy. The food was great,the drinks were amazing, and the views can not be beat!
