I was very impressed with the service, the hosts , and waitress were a delight. The food was not so good , but I could come... back if only they seasoned and added a bit more spicy to what should be Mexican cuisine. That's my opinion of the food . Inanother note the music and atmosphere was great which made me feel in a good mood. Read more

We went there for Happy Hour and the bar was closed The owner's daughter was having her 35th Birthday party. The restaurant... was empty. The hostess approached us and said we could get Hour hour margaritas at the tables inside. The margaritas, chips andsalsa were excellent . When we got the bill charged full price for our drinks. My husband questioned the price the managergave us the happy hour price. Read more

Love this place for lunch Mama Avila soup is awesome been going here for years. A bit pricey for Mexican food if you are taking... it to go there might be better options but if you want to sit down and enjoy a great experience obviously you are going to pay abit more so I recommend sitting in and enjoying your food there Read more

Ordered guac but never go it (despit asking twice), yet was charged $12 for it. Our waitress rarely checked in and when she did... she had difficulty communicating. Asked for simply hard shell tacos with steak (nothing else) but were told all tacos arepre-made and we couldn't order that that. Margaritas was mediocre at best, served in a sloppy glass with garnish running downthe side. Waitress rarely checked in and was hard to find. Food was average to good. Not recommended. Read more

We picked this restaurant based off of previous reviews & somewhere we could ride bikes to from our AirBNB. It was easy to get... to & not far from where we were staying. The chicken soup was delicious! All of our entrees were good. Definitely had reasonableprices. The service was slow. Our server seemed to have forgotten about us (maybe because we sat outside). We'll definitely eathere again next time we're in Newport. Thie place was awesome! Read more

I searched high and low all over Newport looking for great nachos. I found them at this location! Good location near the... beach. Parking and crowd not an issue on a Sunday evening. The key to these nachos: Wet pinto beans about half way down thepile of homemade chips, and fajita style veggies on top. No cheap jar jalapeños either. Lots of cheese and carne asada. Ialmost polished them off, but I ate too many of their warm chips and salsa....which was also awesome....nice crunch and flavor. Wife had the cheese quesadilla which she likes. Service was good. Atmosphere was nothing super special, but they do have openwindows which is a nice touch being near the beach. This was a very affordable place I will visit again if back in Newport. Have the nachos....they were GREAT! Read more
