This restaurant is a lovely little gem! My husband and I came here last night for the first time to celebrate our wedding... anniversary. Lovely and cozy ambiance, the food is fantastic, and staff are very attentive and accommodating. Will, who is coowner, is very caring and attentive. My husband and I sat at a regular table towards the very front of the restaurant becauseof how busy it was, but it was a Sat night so that is to be expected of course. They also have the option of high top tables,so if you enjoy listening to live music, then it is for you! I think the next time we come, we will reserve a spot at a high toptable. We felt like we were in Italy! Another perk with coming here is they have their own parking lot so most likely, youwon't have to park in the street like you do in a lot of places in Newport. Amazing meal. Superb atmosphere. Scott at the bar was the consummate server/ host. A MUST for anyone who loves, likes, or just... appreciates Italian food made from the freshest ingredients. Reservations are necessary so plan accordingly. Read more
Our experience was really good, we went on Friday night and they had live music. The pastas are incredible, my personal favorite... was the carbonara spaghetti. I am not giving 5 starts because the desserts were really bad. Read more
I have had this restaurant saved on my list for awhile since I see all the great reviews and finally made it there. I was more... disappointed in the service than anything. Anyhow, my wife and I had dinner on a Fri evening and it wasn't super busy yet. Wearrived prior to our reservation and got seated promptly but waited about 25 min before anyone came over. Mind you there was awaitress helping folks on both sides of us so she could clearly see we were just hanging out. No big deal even though we got 90minutes for dinner. Wife's dinner was pretty good, she had the sea bass. I had the lobster bisque and lobster pasta which wasvery salty and could not finish it. Appetizer of Bruschetta was delicious. Anytime I walk out paying $200 for myself and mywife, I expect nothing less than a phenomenal experience overall. Once we got attended to, service was good to go. Very flavorful food, especially the chef?s specials were to die for! The place has its own parking, which helps during weekends.... The desserts aren?t on the menu, but they do have house-made tiramisu and other delightful options! Read more
What a great place !! It?s a great Italian restaurant with a Vino bar next door with entertainment and Dakota on the bar she... was very pleasant and social I probably stayed longer cause the music and the great Friendly service. Dog friendly patio! So excited to finally try Vieste & it did not disappoint! Sat on the patio for dinner and the server brought... out water for our dog. She was friendly & explained the specials. We started with the Burrata which was fresh & delicious. Forentrees we had the Pasta Bolognese & the Sea striped bass special. Definitely will be coming back! Read more
Vieste was excellent! The meal started with the normal bread and oil but I found both to be top quality. For starters we had... the Caprese Salad which was topped with some really fantastic prosciutto. Highly recommend the salad. We also had Bruschetta. I can't even describe it, you have to look at the photo. Again, fantastic. For the main course we split the Gnocchi alPomodoro but subbed the Bolognese sauce for the Marinara. We enjoyed a glass of the Passimento (Merlot) with the meal. It wasa fantastic, super filling meal for two. Highly recommend. As a final note, it has its own parking lot, which is a nicefeature in Newport. Read more
