Stopped at this café for breakfast during our day trip in Newport Road Island. Weekends are busy except to wait 30 plus... minutes or place your order online. Once arrived you can pick up your order and eat outside. Pros: Our waitress was nice; foodwas good (kudos to the chef/cook), nice location and scenery, outdoor seatings. Cons: Obnoxious hostess, dirty utensils (yuck,always double check the forks; found gunks) . Gave this place 3 starts for the food and 2 starts for service. Great little brunch spot in an unexpected place. Belle?s Café is definitely a highlight of the Newport Shipyard. The eggs were... cooked beautifully and the espresso was smooth. I always appreciate a small and concise menu that prioritizes quality overquantity. Read more
Although the wait was long, both for a table and for the food, the food was good. A total of 45 min. Not to mention that the... lady manager of the day was giving me a hard time abt table wait times. We asked kindly if we can come back in 45 min for ourtable for 11:05 am, I set-up timer on my phone so that we came back at 11:05 am. And when we arrived, she said oh, we called urname earlier for you were not here. Ok..... and then we waited another 28 minutes, with the hostess 1st gave away a table for 4to another party that came after us, it was when I approached ths hostess podium, did she like, oh, you are next. So ultimately,we waited 45min + 45min. Guess that is what we get when we came on a Sunday when bruch was in demand. Located on the beautiful dockside of Newport. This cafe offers no on site parking but has street parking in the area. While this... cafe is difficult to find and see from the road it offers an excellent dining experience. All meals are clean, fresh andbeautifully displayed. Between the well seasoned home fries, smoke salmon and fresh fruits the nautical injected cafe offer anspectacular selection of music that ranges from 80s vibe to current music. Belles cafe find itself just a stones throw from the center of the main Newport area. Great place for large groups that won?t... break the bank! I was so shocked at how reasonable the prices were. The restaurant features incredibly quick service aided byyouthful smiles and energy. The Farmer?s Egg Benedict is a local favorite on the menu. For those that enjoy drinking in the daythey offer personally chilled wine and fun cocktails. Read more
The best breakfast we had in Newport along with a nice view of the boats. Good to eat there or take away. The service was great... and the quality of the food even better. The portion sizes are nice for the price. We got a few different plates, includingdaily specials, and everyone enjoyed all their meals. Will be back for sure. Read more
A very nice place for breakfast. Located inside the shipyard. A little tough to find but well worth the searching. The eggs were... cooked very well. The potatoes had a great seasoning on them. The toast was very sick and very very well flavor. Hash of the daywas very good as well as the chocolate chip pancake. The orange juice was good but quite expensive at $4.50 per glass. Overallwould highly recommend for breakfast/brunch. Was cold inside but it was nice to know the door was open to keep the air flow.Very nice kitchen displayed as well as dining area. Love love love this place. Not only is the service quick and you're well taken care of, but the food is really good! Don't skip... on their hot cocoa on cold days. Their whipped cream is made in shop and tastes amazing. Their eggs Benedict is great and theirpotatoes are so wonderfully seasoned. Prices are low for the area and especially for what you get.
