Reviews for Tables of Content Restaurant in Newport, OR
Pretty cool place, I've never been to a place with a full course meal. The food was great and the service was great as well. The... view was awesome as well and they gave us a wonderful evening. My only complaints would be price and parking, the price isunderstandable but me being somewhat poor,I won't be able to visit often and the parking was a little cramped. Read more
I have never had bad food here. It does surprise me they are still requiring proof of vaccination as they?re the only place I... have seen in the state do it other then a stadium. This past experience took much longer then planned, anticipated, orexperienced in the past. Dinner lasted over three hours. We were seated at 6:00 and didn?t get our check until about 9:20. Thestaff are friendly however, the could use more wait staff. There was one person and she was slow and not well educated about thefood. In the past we have been told what we are eating and asked if we wanted to take home leftovers. I hate ware and whenhearing the food would be thrown out she looked at me funny when I asked if I could take some. No clue what was in the salad orthe dressing (it was delicious). Bug in the past you would be told what was in the salad and what type of dressing. You werealso told if any food came from their garden. She also couldn?t answer questions about food like what kind of flower was on thedessert. She was nice but the entire meal was slow. It would be nice to hear about the food again? however I would still eatfood here anytime because it literally is one of the best meals you will find on the coast! Read more
If you are anywhere near here and especially if you are staying at the Sylvia Beach hotel, then a meal here is an absolute must.... We were seated at a table with two other couples we did not know and the lively conversation flowed all evening. The food wasexcellent too! In the morning breakfast was served in the same room and although there was no choice it was high quality and agood sized portion. Read more
Another lovely dinner at Sylvia Beach Tables of Content. The hummus was made with fresh garbanzo beans, the naan/ pita bread was... this amazing combo (I can?t remember the me of it), the lamb was cooked to perfection, the salad was so fresh and put prettymuch every salad I?ve ever had to shame, and the almond cake was divine. The presentation of every dish was gorgeous, and theservice was awesome as usual! A wonderful meal to end a rainy day! Read more

Table of Content (the restaurant at the hotel)....we were so thankful we did! Each night is a different meal....I know becausewe stayed an extra night at the hotel to eat the four course meal for the additional night. I had the chicken the first nightand the duck the second night. They were both delicious!! Just go....the cost is great for the four course meal, the meals arebeyond amazing, the staff is friendly and fun, and it is an experience that can be wonderful single or with a group!!! Oh, anddid I mention it looks out to the ocean....bonus!!! You're robbing yourself of the joy of dining if you don't check it out.Dinner starts at 6pm, so make your reservation now. ???? Read more
Consistently delicious meals featuring fresh locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, served by friendly staff. When I?ve dined... here ?in the before times? the seating was always 8-to-a-table, with an assortment of other guests, and we were encouraged toplay a game known by the descriptive name ?two truths and a lie? ? each player makes three statements, and the other players tryto guess which one is false. During the pandemic lockdown, they?ve changed things up a bit: limiting seating to one party pertable, and requiring masks on staff and, when not eating, guests. The waitstaff and the kitchen are generally flexible andeager to help. Somewhere between the kitchen and the hotel upstairs, however, someone grows protective of the kitchen anddeflects requests for what they consider to be too strict of dietary requirements. Sometimes this can come across ascondescending or exclusionary, as when they told my wife ? suffering from the weird complex of symptoms following her COVIDinfection last summer, know as long-haulers syndrome ? ?we like to celebrate food here, not cater to such stringent foodrestrictions.? For people with specific dietary needs, they and we both recommend Zach?s Bistro around the corner. If you?reable to eat more broadly without much concern for The details of the ingredients used (beyond their freshness and flavor), doreserve yourself a seat at the Table of Content. Read more
We?ve been coming here for over thirty years, and the quality remains. In fact, they?ve been using locally sourced before that... was a trend. They serve a four course meal, with a choice of four entrees. Usually lamb/beef/pork, or chicken/duck or seafood orvegetarian. The salads are always amazing. Dessert recently was a chocolate hazelnut torte with caramel sauce. Reasonably pricedOregon and International wines are available. All by the glass, which is nice, with chef recommended pairings. They offer aflight to align with courses, as well. Read more
The food was excellent. but 3-hours for a 4-course meal was really long. Only one server for so many people was not manageable. ... We were all seated at 6pm and didn't have our entrée until 8pm. I enjoyed our social time but by 8pm I was ready to go home. Dinner clean up. Dessert and paying the b8ll we didn't leave until 855pm. The corn chowder, salad and lamb were all amazing.Just held hostage too long. If you could do dinner service start to finish in two hours it would be perfect! Read more
