Met several friends for lunch and we were able to get a table quickly. The food was excellent. I had the bbq sandwich with... coleslaw, The sandwich is very tender and flavorful. The entire inside is like walking into a time capsule and a person can spend hours looking and reading. I enjoyed a traditional... hamburger with French fries and a sweet tea and it was all pretty good. After eating i entered the on-site store and choseseveral items to take as gifts and I would have purchased more but the young sales clerk was more interested in typing on herphone than she was customer service answering questions and placing all 7 of the items I placed on the counter and paid for intoa bag so when I returned home 120 miles away I only had 5 of the items I paid for. Nice establishment. Food and waitstaff could use some help. Last couple times we have been the food was not good. On this... particular visit our hush puppies were dry, under a heat lamp. Two of us ordered BBQ it also was lukewarm and was bland.Disappointed! Read more
Our family loved the southern style deep fried chicken with french fries and cucumbers as sides, fried fish plate with collards... and cucumbers, bbq nachos, and a chicken quesadilla with fries.
