Rather disappointed after seeing all the good reviews. Service was really inattentive, our server came to our table literally... twice. Had to flag other servers down for drink refills. Food was ok but took over 45 minutes (simple breakfast items) and someof it was cold. No one checked back to see if we needed anything or if our food was ok. I'm usually pretty understand havingbeen a server/cook/manager but I don't think we'll be back & I won't be recommending it. Read more

I heard that the place was good but I heard wrong... We waited what seemed like forever to get a simple burger and fries also my... friend had to send his order back 3 times the food was greasy and bland. I waited 30 minutes for my check after I asked for it.I promise this i will never eat there again even if its free my stomach has hurt me for 3 days after that meal. Read more
As I practice lent, I am always looking for places to eat at on Fridays that have fish and chips. I was recommended this place... by my mother and her colleagues, so my fiancé and I gave it a shot. I ordered the cod dinner plate which came with two sides.I picked fries and mashed potatoes. The cod was amazing! They gave me a really big helping of it, and it wasn't greasy nor toothickly breaded. It was juicy, hot, and everything I look for in cod. As for the sides, the fries were average and the potatoeswere a good consistency (I like them thick/chunky) but could have used more salt. My fiancé ordered a bacon burger with fries.He said it was okay for a burger, nothing out of this world. I've seen him rave about very few burgers, so for him, this wasjust average. The waitstaff were extremely polite and helpful. We did have to ask for the check when we were done since no onecame to give it to us, but that could have been our fault. Maybe we were supposed to go up to pay and just didn't know. However,if they were supposed to give it to us, we waited around 15 minutes before asking ourselves. The environment was chill, roomy,and comfortable. Not many people were there when we went but I'm sure they are busy during late lunch and dinner since the foodwas pretty good. Best little diner and live music joint there is in Newport KY. They have a smaller than normal menu right now, but the steak,... meatloaf, chops, and burgers we all love are still there. Treat the staff well please! Read more
Excellent place for home cooked food. Meatloaf is wonderful. They have certain nights where a live band plays. A couple high top... tables outside. Only slightly bad note - chocolate cake was dry (& an odd color - see pic). Overall a great place with fantasticfood! Go there now! Read more
