Reviews for Wayback Burgers in Newcastle, WY
I dont like to be negative. But this was terrible. Terrible staff. Didnt care to listen to their manager. They sat on their... phones the entire time they attempted to make my food. The place was very dirty, walls, floors, etc. Ended up walking out tosafe myself. I paid for my food but left before it was finished. Read more
It was ok. More hype than anything. The burger was ok but nothing special. Staff was nice but they were understaffed the day we... visited with a tour bus full of seniors. I hope that tour bus tipped the staff. Maybe on a less busier day. Read more
Stopped here traveling thru. We ordered right away, but the food took a while to get to the table. Once we got it tho, it was so... good. One of the best cheessteaks I've had in a while. Read more
If I could rate it a 0 I would. Just passing through town, ordered 4 meals with shakes, 50$. To go doesn?t exist. Took 45... minutes to get shakes with no explanation and Never mind that they took 20 minutes to prepare food and forgot the shakes. WORST. BURGER. EXPERIENCE. EVER. And the staff decided to laugh at us while we waited for the food and the shakes. Food wasterrible, shakes were awful. I really hope no one ever stops here again and a McDonald?s goes up. Typically these kinds ofplaces are hidden gems. But not even close. No one cares and food prep was terrifying. Read more
From outside it looks like a hole in the wall in the middle of no where.. well if you are from a big city... but if you go in... the restaurant look modern and clean. Food was prepared after I ordered which I like about this place. I ordered Buffalo Chickenburger with fried and drink. Burger feel soft and fries were fresh. They gave generous mount of fries, and condiments. The foodis like McDonald's but it tasted fresher. I recommend this place if you want a McDonald's substitute in Newcastle, Wyoming. Read more
My Cheeeeeesy burger was full of cheese and two delicious meat patties. Everything we got was good. Strange to find this... not-so-prevalent international franchise burger place in this sleepy town but I sure appreciated it. From how busy they were, Ithink the locals appreciated it too. I would recommend them if you can find one near you. I guess you could start your ownfranchise too... Read more
Found a gem in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. We were actually looking for a Wendy's type of burger place fast food and the... first one to pop up was this place. A quick glance at the name and wasn't too sold. Then another quick look at pictures of thefood they served and we knew we had to give it a go. Man were we in for a surprise. Only other place to give me such a thrilleating a burger was ShakeShack in Manhattan, NY. It was pure chance. The staff was so nice and helpful in guiding us in ourchoices. The food is cooked to order so expect a little wait. The buns are tasty, the meat is flavored and the fries arenatural. They also have other sides if you fancy pretzel bites etc... You can also build your own burger from scratch. Almostwent with a triple pattie but back down to a double cheeseburger. Also picked up a shake and it was good. Definitely recommendthis place if you're in these parts. A real gem I wish was more spread out. They really need to expend. Read more
This is the place we usually stop for a quick bite or refreshment to recharge as we travel between South Dakota & Colorado. The... burgers and steak sandwiches are very good as are the shakes. The concept of vintage hamburger joint is fun. They are not asfast as the other usual fast food burger places but the quality is better. We usually gas up at the station right next door sothe stop at Wayback is efficient too, avoiding the "time warp" caused by making multiple stops. Plus, if you are just passingthrough and travelling aways along 385 your choices are limited - especially at night! Read more
