Waiting for pizzas was chaotic and unpleasant when they were busy. Some of the menu seems to want you to use their cutesy names... for things and I don't want to. The pizza is ok. Ingredients seem fine, crust doesn't have much flavor but was cooked well.Overall missing some seasoning (was I supposed to request it? They should know what it needs based on their crust and sauce.) If I could give ZERO stars to this establishment I definitely would. I placed an online order that was made incorrectly. I added... anchovies on one pizza and wrote in the special notes that it be put on half. Anchovies came on all four pizzas as well as mysalad. When I called to request a refund the first employee told me to expect it in 3-7 business days. I received a call 5minutes later stating they could only refund one pizza when 3 of them as well as the salad weren?t able to be eaten. When mymother called back to sort the issue out, the working manager Athena, was very rude and condescending. She did not apologize norwas she understanding for the situation. Meh, service here was not great. Came in to pick up my online order a bit early so just sat and waited. Ended up with cold... pizza after they prepared the salad 10 minutes after the pizza and didn't let me know it was ready. Read more
Mod ihas good pizza, thin crust and crispy. Lots of toppings to choose from, the ingredients are pretty good. usually the people... behind the counter or pretty great at giving you plenty of toppings and you can always ask for more. Read more
I am very familiar with the level of service that Mod pizza provides regularly. Unfortunately, this is a bad one to visit. A... few reasons why: 1) Customer service- the lady that helped us did not engage or greet us while we waited in the front of theline (with no one else in it). 2) The gentleman that was watching our pizza cook was slamming things around like he was angry. Boxes, utensils and everything else was slammed around. 3) Cleanliness/sanitization was not ideal. I personally saw anemployee scratch himself then walk over and put gloves on, without washing his hands. Gross. 4) See picture, things touchedthe floors that food goes on. Who knows if it was cleaned. The food tasted good but the customer service was poor and I amconcerned about cleaning habits/policies. We love MOD. This is a new location in Newcastle. Our first time. Very nice and helpful employees. Been to many different MODs... and this was up there as the best pizza to date. Plenty of cheese. Some locations are more skimpy and you have to almost beg forxtra. This is a great place for family's as well. Very reasonable prices for how terrific the food is. Only like $11 for a biggluten free pizza, loaded with yummy toppings. You just can't get a better deal for a GF crust in a sit down establishment. Waslarge enough to feed 2 healthy appetites. Pizza is good. Service, particularly for those using the app, is horrible. Food is never close to being ready on time, and the... people that work there are rude about how they "are behind." Either hire more workers or suspend allowing people to orderonline. Don't take my money, commit to a time, then be 20 minutes behind every time. Read more
