This place was awesome, definitely on the price side but it's worth it. It took about 30 minutes to get a seat with no... reservation, our waitress checked in on us. Probably every 6 or 7 minutes which was perfect. I got a margarita, nachos, taquitosand a Mexican lasagna. Everything was absolutely delicious and I will be going back when I'm in that area. Service was excellent so were the Guacamole and drinks. My Chile Relleno was ok, was not presented as I expected. My wife Mole... poblano was dissapointing. Over cooked chicken with drop of Mole on top as opposed to cooked in Mole sauce . Price was quitehigh fir what we got. Read more
Outdoor seating and big portions. Took advantage of a beautiful Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a wait even though they were... busy. I ordered the Baja tacos and I didn't leave hungry! Fish was fresh and very lightly fried perfectly. I've never had somuch fish in a taco which was a nice surprise. I just wasn't 'wowed' by the plain cabbage and cheese. I'm a slaw girl; I like alittle extra flavor and juice or crema on a taco so I will say not my favorite in the area. Beans, rice, and pico topped me off. Read more
Agave used to be the best spot in newburyport for hearty and flavorful upscale tex-mex cuisine. Im not sure whats happened... recently to their quality control but its certainly disappointing. For 22$ i got a chicken burrito that was mostly tortilla andthey FORGOT TO PUT CHEESE ON! In addition the rice was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. If I had been diningin person i certainly wouldve sent this dish back. Oh how the mighty have fallen? Read more
