Not sure what the hype was since we had cold stale chips for an appetizer. Then barely a handful of seafood for well over 25$ a... plate.. I won't be going back. We went there and were seated right away. We then waited twenty minutes to not even have a waitress come up to our table at all.... The front of house staff stood around and talked while the waitresses were busy running around actually doing their jobs. Thetable next to us was served perfectly fine and they watched us walk out without even having a drink on the table. We wereexcited to eat here but went down the road to the Salt hill and got the service we were looking for there. We will NOT bereturning any time soon. Read more

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was well made and portions were larger than average. I... would not call this spot above average but we felt we got a good meal at a reasonable price. Wife had a burger (possibly fromfrozen, it was firm with a uniform texture and shape) and some very very good onion rings. Travellers, this is an unassuming restaurant that exceeded our expectations. Located in Newburyport, NH,very close to lake... Sunapee, this is the perfect spot to grab a meal after coming off the lake. There is a wonderful menu that has something foreveryone. The ambiance is very congenial and everybody was jolly and having fun. It felt a bit like cheers, the vintage tv show.The food was delicious. Linguini and clam sauce was excellent, missing a piece of Italian bread to dip in the sauce. Loaded withclams. Hamburgers also delicious, done to perfection and wonderful toppings. Cole slaw is delicious too. The seafood pie wasdelicious too. There many choices from sandwiches to elegant dinners. Service is quick and efficient and with a smile. Thisrestaurant is worth the trip. Bubba's is located in a beautiful location, across from the lake. The food is not as good as the view. The chowder was too... salty, mostly immetation crab, very thick with corn starch, and gooey texture. Lobster roll meat did taste fresh, it was alsoover salted. The bathroom was clean, but the area with the toilet had no light so if there was an accident you could not seeit. Price $95 with tip, two rolls, two chowders, one soft drink. Read more
The section we sat in was very loud, even though there weren't too many people in area, just every voice echoed. Our waitress... wasn't very attentive. The appetizer we had was the artichoke dip, it was very dry and the chips were stale. I ordered the fishand chips, was a big piece of fish. The flavor was nothing. I don't think they know how to season here. Never had such abland fish before. Also it was cold in center, I was wondering if it was cooked all the way, or if it was sitting for sometime. My SO, had mussels, they were ok, but the butter garlic sauce was a bit garlicky, the bread that came with her meal wasgood. Had carrot cake for dessert, and best part of that was the 4 dollops of real whipped cream. Piece of cake was way overpriced for what you got. Read more
