Delicious. The staff very friendly and polite. Such a charming place. My husband and I were visiting the area and I saw this... place online. I didn't have a cocktail since I was driving but my husband had the special cocktail of the day which was andApple Jack Martini. He said it was very tasty. There were some very interesting starters on the menu, but we decided just tohave entrees, although I was really tempted to order some appetizers. I ordered the Sea Scallops with Risotto. It was divine. When I was done eating I actually took a piece of bread and mopped up any residue that was left on my plate. I never eat breadat restaurants. Never!!!!! That's how good it was. My husband ordered the Salmon. That's his go to meal when we eat out. TheSalmon was cooked on a cedar plank and it came with mashed potatoes and some lovely French String Beans. So more sopping up thesauce with bread when he was done. But truthfully he always does that. The entrees were the perfect amount of food. So in a wayI was glad I didn't order an appetizer, because something wouldn't have been finished, and that would have been a shame. Ofcourse you can always bring the leftovers home, but since we live in a different state, well I didn't want to be carrying foodeverywhere.I was intrigued by the adult Root Beer Float that they offered for dessert. Maybe next time. And if we're ever in thearea again I will definitely be eating here again. Read more

One of a kind restaurant experience, highly recommend coming here. Indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant is on the bottom... floor of an old tavern and hotel built in 1801. Fantastic food, my filet mignon was the best filet I have ever had, and cookedexactly how I wanted it. As I was eating the owner came out and talked with me about the building, seemed like a great guy! Youwon't be disappointed! Read more

Superb experience! The service is stellar! The food was devine! The owner is personable and willing to share about the history.... If you have opportunity, ask about the link of the distance of the tavern from West Point. It is a good story. If you take amoment, you can go to the bar and see the beautiful carvings, the news paper articles on the walls, and see the amazingartifacts they have found during renovations if the property, and more. Whether you want a glimpse into local history or toenjoy a well prepared meal, this place is a worthy stop! Read more

Had this restaurant bookmarked a while and finally made it. We recieved a warm greeting by the owner upon arrival. Lenny waited... on us and provided fabulous service. The food was delicious. I had the pork shoulder and burrata and my co-worker had thesalmon. We also learned the tavern was originally a 13 room hotel off the highway in 1801. The current owner has turned theupstairs rooms into 4 rooms which are available to Airbnb. They are quite cozy and have a lovely ambiance and reasonably priced.I highly recommend a visit. They are closed on Mondays. Read more

First time at the North Plank Road Tavern but not the last! Historic old building in which you can feel the history from the... moment you walk in through the narrow doors and hallway. Small but very nice bar in one room with a larger dining area. Thestaff is very attentive and the food presentation matches the taste. North Plank also has a number of signature cocktails andhouse made desserts. Parking lot is located in the rear of the building. Read more
