Be ready to be cheater with 5 Sever spoon of Rice whichever you prefer; then they will be giving you Half Sever spoon of Cod... fish, beef or chicken and they will charge you $12.00 for Rice. Do not know any other words for this place except totally comfort food, exactly what I remember eating when my mother &... grandfather cooked home cooking!! Five of us went in ordered from extra friendly ladies who filled up my plate with the bestfood and enjoyed it very much! I asked if they cook it & she said yes, all I could say was thank you. All the love was in thefood and the pasteles were excellent! People were coming in picking up food, some sat down ate and left, we sat and tasted everyforkful and more people came in picked up. Anyone that disagrees talk to all of us who love the food and don't come in beforeclosing or expecting to be waited on. Just sit and enjoy like people are supposed to appreciate good food. Prices not listed for customer, got overcharged for 1 piece of chicken rice, beef stew rice 1 soda and 1 juice all this pick... from the cooked line this was 42 dollars? Not a la carte worst service Read more
This was our first time at this site in Newburgh. The ladies were super sweet and helpful. The food, on the other hand was... not as good. In their defense, we arrived close to closing and they had already begun mopping. I would give another just tobe sure it wasn't because they were closing soon. Read more

Very disappointed I normally get take out from the location on Windsor Highway and it?s delicious!!! Tried this location today... and I should?ve known better when she asked was the piece of chicken she was giving me okay . Got home started eating my mealthe chicken was hard , dry and burnt !!! A waste of 11$ if gas wasn?t so expensive I would have drove right back over there fora refund !!! Read more
Disappointing. Got Uber eats, sweet plantains were missing from my order. Rice and beans came with just plain white rice, roast... pork was more fat and gristle than meat, side order of beans came in a small coffee cup with barely any beans, a tiny eeny weenyside of French fries. Authentic Dominican cuisine. The staff is very friendly and patient. The food is tasty for everyone not too much spice but just... enough. Anyone from NYC would appreciate this place. I highly recommend! Read more
