The pizza here actually tastes good. I?ve been going here since 2009. I?ve tried basically every pizza place in Newburgh and... Lucas is the best. I don?t understand the low ratings when there are hazards like ?The Pizza Shop? that exists. At Lucas, Themarinara is so robust and the crust is FRESH, crisp, and airy on the inside. Terrible customer service. I was told 20-30 minutes and the Pizza took well over an hour to arrive. The pizza was cold by the... time it got here. The delivery guy was rude and inconsiderate. I had to call 3 separate times to find out when my pizza wouldarrive and the employee on the other end was extremely unprofessional. If I could rate 0/5 stars I would. I have been going to Lucas, for a very long time and the food has always been very good. On this one evening, I order a large... pizza. After getting it home and starting to eat my son noticed that his slice had a fly in it. I called the manager at Luca toexplain what had just happened. I was then asked if I wanted another pie. I stated that I did not, but they should refund mymoney back to me. At this point, the manager got very upset and stated that if I want I can call the health department andnothing would be done as there isn't a restaurant that doesn't have some kind of bugs flying around. I don't think I will begoing back there. But please beware of what you're eating. Read more
