Make a reservation if you want to be seated on the patio overlooking the water. We sat inside by the window so we still had... views. DRINKS My BF had a tropical mule with pineapple and liked it so much that he had 3. I had a strawberry basillemonade. DINNER He had the linguine fra diavolo and he ate every bit of it, which is unlike him because she normally avoidspasta. I had the salmon with broccoli and the potato croquette. This was delicious and the croquette was the best, crunchy onthe outside and a tasty mashed potato on the inside. DESSERT We got dessert to go, I heated the walnut brownie for about 20secs before eating and it was so good! We would definitely some back for the eats and the views. Read more

I took my family here for my daughter's birthday. 4 out of 5 of us love seafood, and we're very excited. We were able to make... a reservation for a Saturday at 6pm and were seated promptly when we arrived. The service and food were both excellent. Wesampled fresh oysters and tried the smoked trout appetizer (highly recommend you can all share - whole fish for $12.95 it'sawesome). We ordered 4 different seafood entrees and a ravioli special. Everything was spot on. The spacing betweeneverything wasn't rushed and we really enjoyed a great meal together. Well done Captain Jake's!! Read more
Really enjoyed this place. I thought the red sangria tasted better than the white. Split pea soup was delicious. Oysters... Rockefeller were very good. The Captains Platter was great! Surf and Turf was cooked just right. The two specials we ordered, Ibelieve one was a halibut piccata and the other a seafood gumbo and they were amazing!! I personally had the gumbo and man Ihave never had such a delicious seafood stew. The service was really good. The view outside was so peaceful and scenic. Made our dining experience that much more magical. Drinks were most excellent -... "the Fig & the fish" was so delicious and refreshing. One of the best seafood restaurants I've been too in the NY/NJ/Conn area.Raw bar on point, big portions and food well cooked. Suggest making a reservation. Worth the drive from NYC. My wife and I on the way home needed dinner after a long day. When a restaurant near Captain Jake's would not take us, Captain... Jake's took us without a reservation. We ordered the fish and chips and fish tacos. Both were excellent! Both were cooked toperfection and generous portions. I enjoyed the rice and beans with the tacos. Would definitely choose Captain Jake's over theother restaurant who only accepted reservations but had many many empty tables. Read more
I had 5 wild goose oysters and 5 blue point oysters - I prefer the wild goose oysters because they taste so fresh. The shrimp... are always cooked to perfection and the calamari as well.
