I love the tajadas con pollo, very authentic. This review was originally 5 star prior to my last encounter with the owner. As... you guys know I used to loveee this place. I literally love the chix and tajadas. The last time I was here I order tamalitoesand they where horrible! I actually went back and requested my money thats how bad they look. They looked old. Definitely notfresh. The son was extremely understanding and gave me the funds back, he even acknowledge that they where a hit ourmiss..However, I order them before and never had any issues. The mom came from the back and was extremely rude. I wouldn'trecommend this place to my worst enemy due to the terrible services. Newburgh has plenty of centro american restaurants pickone where you will be treated with dignity and respect. Read more

Found what was thought to be hair in my soup turned out to be strands from Brillo pad as was pointed out by one of the workers.... When I discovered the foreign item in my food I immediately called the restaurant and I got racist commentary in the background.Very disheartened and dissatisfied with her response...return the soup in its entirety...nothing eaten... I returned the soupthe next day where they had another soup waiting on the counter, I had taped what appeared to be hair on a napkin and the guynonchalantly said it was Brillo as he proudly displayed it to me,to which I explained it was much more dangerous than hair... We placed an order for tamales in this spotless little bistro. We opened the container when we got it and a wonderful citrus... aroma escaped before we quickly shut it again. At home we tucked into the delicious dish, again surprised by the citrus-richaroma and tickled to discover the chickpeas and potatoes nestled amidst the piquant meat and rice. A return visit for lunch anddinner is in order, since so many menu items we scanned were enticing, especially the beef soup made with short ribs. Totalcost? $3 a piece per nacatamale for a total of $6.00. We cover $5 breakfasts in Newburgh @newburghnydotcom. Have a visit anddiscover more about Newburgh! Read more

These people are a joke. The service is horrible. The little kid who takes care of the customers is extremely rude, and it... doesnt matter what you order or how simple the order is, they ALWAYS mess it up. Like how hard is your job honestly. The onlything that saves them is that their food, if you can get your order correct, is actually good. If you want better service iwould say to go to zulimar instead. Read more
