Came here during a busy time which was Sunday morning around 9 AM. The older gentleman at the host stand was very friendly,... warm, and welcoming which is exactly what you want from a diner or restaurant on a cold Sunday morning! We were promptly takencare of as soon as he was finished ringing out the previous guest. He made a point to say ?good morning I will be right with youguys? which is always appreciated when the staff notices you are waiting and haven?t been assisted yet. Our server was veryfriendly, I wish I could remember her name, but in all honesty I noticed every server was very friendly and energetic andchecking in with their tables often. As far as breakfast food is concerned, it was very good. Nothing out of the ordinary orexceptional for a Diner when it comes to breakfast but they had some very tasty solid staple items on the menu Like omelettes,French toast, and the hot chocolate was extremely tasty! My only critique is that the home fries were a little bit undercookedand needed some more flavor but I am still satisfied with my breakfast. We even got a brownie from the bakery display on the wayout and when we ate it later that day it was as good as it looked. I have been here and ordered takeout for lunch and was veryhappy with the meals I have gotten at other times of the day not just breakfast. I ordered 2 over easy eggs with bacon, whole wheat toast and home fries. Eggs were delicious and cooked to perfection, so was... the bacon, lots of flavor. Service was fast, Waitress came to our table within a minute. Drinks took 5 minutes, and our food was7 minutes, service was a 10/10 and the waitress was very nice. The only reason I'm taking off a star was because of the homefries. it was basically a bland pile of mush in my opinion. 8.5/10 it's a nice pit stop to get food, would come again. Conveniently located diner with ample parking all around. Wholesome food at fair prices, and memorable desserts attractively... displayed in a vitrine. Friendly staff and clean bathroom. I had a lovely dine in with family before heading back to NYC and I must say the staff here are so friendly and welcoming! I had... a cheeseburger deluxe and the burger was one of the best burgers I?ve eaten at a diner, very soft and tender. In addition, up infront I bought myself a cake; and was greeted by a older man who not only knew how to be welcoming, but made me feel lessanxious as I was not familiar with this area in NY. The good: Alexis totally lived up to its name and game. We stopped by on our way to CT and on the way back. The Rueben with... chopped corned beef was just amazing and the eggs Benny was really good. The bad: The coleslaw was too dry and the pickle wasjust a piece of cucumber. Will definitely visit again if in the area or passing. Read more
