I had the steak and egg hash during brunch. Food was flavorful but a considerably small portion. About 3 ounces of potatoes(the... hash, no other ingredients,) maybe an ounce and a half of steak cut into tiny cubes, 2 cherry tomatoes, an egg and a piece ofdill for garnish. For $15. Like I said, the food tasted good, but left quite a bit to be desired. I should never leave arestaurant hungry. I would go back if they doubled the portion size and added any kind of vegetables to the "hash," even if theyincreased the price a bit. Might give it a try for dinner, but not at the top of my list. And yes, I know the cost ofingredients, etc. I was a chef for 22 years. I hope they do well as they claim to source local ingredients, which I highlyapplaud, but I won't plan on being a regular. Service was ok, I think our server was stretched a bit thin and admitted to notknowing anything about how eggs were cooked. I blame that on poor training, she was polite and honest but almost non-existent.Again, I think she had too many tables all over the restaurant, so I don't fault her for that. The atmosphere seemed nice, but Iwas seated towards the wall, so I didn't really get to look around much as I was more focused on the people I was eating with. Read more

We had really high hopes for this place. The atmosphere is beautiful and modern. All the pictures of the food looked amazing, so... we decided to check it out. We came for brunch and were severely disappointed. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food. Thechicken on the honey butter chicken biscuit was burnt, dry, and crunchy. There was almost no trace of the honey butter. Mychicken Caesar wrap had no flavor and the chicken was cut so big I had almost zero lettuce. The home fries were cookedperfectly. Service was extremely slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Will not be coming back. Read more

This review is more related to my second experience at Local Provisons. I came with a large party this time whereas my first... experience it was only my wife an myself. My impression is that the staff seemed generally inexprienced, although the waiterassigned to our large party seemed very attentive and competent. I don't think he would have needed to bring out my third sodaif it didnt take the kitchen nearly an hour and a half to make a couple cheeseburgers for my party. I would say that there isnothing that could be considered taxing for the kitchen staff, burgers, fried chicken patties, wings, toast with dip, you getthe picture. It was lunch time, although we were all sold on brunch, they only do brunch on Sundays. So there I sat, witheveryone else waiting for a burger. I think they forgot about the kitchen when the owner's decided to open a restaurant.Typical really... Farm to table indeed, sounds really neato, old timey and heartwarming. Sounds good, but your concept shouldfocus more on execution than cutsie decor... But, even after the neglect of the kitchen, they actually end up churning outedible food, which probably isn't easy due to obvious management issues. Honestly, no one should lower their expectations tosuit the clown world song, just because it is the most common tune being sung. If you cannot make a cheeseburger you shouldn'teven be in business. I don't think that it is too much to ask for a $17.00 cheeseburger to have an option on how it iscooked... But, here everything comes well done. Well done chicken tenders, well done grilled chiken, well done bacon. Maybe ifeverything wasn't cooked to shoe sole level, things could roll out of that kitchen with some efficiency. I would recommend theCheeseburger I had the first time, well done with 2 flat patties, more than the well done meatball burger on my second trip, except they are listed as the same thing on the menu. Regardless of patty size, the thin patties were seasoned, and the big Read more

This place was pretty good but definitely not 5 stars. Cocktails were yummy. Bartender never put my food order in and put my... second drink order in late so i sat with no drink and no water then got charged full price instead of Happy hour even though Iordered well before it was over and it wasn?t very busy. Usually these local places have the ability to fix that sort of thingbut when I brought it up politely I was brushed off. So that was disappointing. I love the farm to table concept though and Iknow it was an off night so I might try again sometime. Read more
