My boyfriend and I both got the country fried steak, and while it was just a bit thicker than I'm used to, was still very good!... The only thing from keeping from a 5 was the fact that the breakfast red potatoes were kind of over cooked and had a weird sweettaste to them. Their happy hour is amazing! Food quantity is absurd and it?s delicious. I ordered the chicken fingers and tots for $7 off their... happy hour menu and there was enough chicken for 3 full chicken sandwiches as they were basically breasts - they weren?tactually tenders/fingers at all! Phenomenal food and service. Ashley went above and beyond. This burger was humongous and delicious. I?ve never had a burger... where both buns were cheese encrusted. The ranch dressing is phenomenal and tastes very much like Hidden Valley homemadedressing. The burger is titled the Gut Buster. Read more
We wanted to eat at the black bear chain down the road, but the line to get in appeared to be too long compared to our hunger... levels, so we looked on Google Maps for an alternative, and this was what we chose. And am I ever glad! Incredible hospitality,and very delicious food and ample portions for the price, I am very impressed with this one-of-a-kind Newberg-only familyrestaurant. This is a place that I would really look forward to returning to. I guess that I will have to visit my friend inNewberg again to get that opportunity. I want to stress again the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. That is somethingthat I might have thought had all but disappeared from our society. The experience at this family diner is awesome! Food is always great staff my goodness this place is packed on the weekends.
Probably one of my favorite places while visiting the area! I only ate here for breakfast, but it was great everytime. I love... the waffles and pancakes. The chicken and waffles were good too. If I had to complain, it would be about the scrambled eggs. Thecooks don't seem to know how to probably make eggs scrambled hard. I still are them... Overall you can't go wrong here. Read more
Great local establish with excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as a bar in the back. Service was friendly... and fast. There is usually a wait for tables on weekend mornings, and with good reason: the food is delicious. The gravy isespecially good, light and fluffy in texture with a deep savoriness. Read more
Wow, we went to Jay's during happy hour 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. and had the chicken tenders for five bucks and also had the taco... salad for five bucks and there was enough food for six people and we were only two so we took all the food left over in to gocartons. We ate in the bar even though the bar was packed full of people we still got served in a relatively short amount oftime very good service huge portions and a fabulous price for happy hour.
