So I ordered food for good eats from downtown Newark, now let me tell you.. i waited over and hour for this food only for the... shrimp to be salty, the collard green to taste old and nasty, and the broccoli to be bland is FU@?!!!! Now I’m tasting mydaughter food is rice taste almost burnt, the corn on the cob was good(the could’ve kept the sauce tho). Now u can see I have2 vegetables because they ran out of Baked Mac and cheese, macaroni salad, and fries!!! I DEFINITELY WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!! I read the reviews before I visited, so I was prepared for a wait. Therefore, yes, my five stars are genuine. I actually had a... meeting a block away, so it all worked out when I was told my order would take at least an hour. I didn’t flinch, and I’mglad I actually understood the wait before entering because this food is amazing! I ordered the cauliflower wings with teriyakisauce and they’re the best to have done it. I also had the yams and macaroni salad. I saw other dishes come out of the kitchenthat were also mouth-watering. If I’m ever in Jersey, l’ll definitely come again. The people in there are working hard, butthey acknowledged me each time I walked in. Know that the wait is extreme, so plan for it. Your attitude won’t make them moveany faster, but I do pray they can expand or improve their process to increase their speed and the number of orders they canpush out at a time. Good food nice portions. I got the roasted salmon with mac n cheese and rice was awesome. I actually waited yrs to eat from this... place and I wasn’t disappointed. Maybe it was the time I went but it could’ve a little quicker but the food was great. Read more
I’ve been following @iamjazzo_ since 2018 and finally got to try it out. This place is AMAZINGGGG & BLACK OWNED. The food is... great price, portion, & taste wise. I got the Jazzo Uptown which is basically iced tea. My friends & I basically all got the mac& cheese rate it a 9.5/10 . According to them, the waffles were lovely (one got fruity pebbles & another one got oreotoppings). The service was also good. It took a while for us to get our food but that probably just means they’re making itfresh. We spoke to the owner & they were extremely friendly & we had a very smooth conversation. The portions are as big as the taste. Highly recommended. The only thing I feel the staff could greet you better when you walk... out because it took a while for them to acknowledge me standing there. Read more

Got there at 3pm (Google said they open @2:30pm) to try and beat any crowd and get a parking close. Someone that works there... said they are opening at 3:30pm. We mentions what \"Google said\" and she responded \"I know\" but w/ not much sympathy andcontinued to say \"they have to clean up and get it prepared & ready\". Other people where waiting in there car along w/ acouple was outside in the cold. I head back to my car to wait.\n\nNow i made it in and now there\'s a line to order and I haveno clue where all those people came from. Not sure how to order if we are eating in the restaurant. There isn\'t much tables(2 four seat tables & 2 tables that fit two - three)so my friend and I got the last table available. And waiting to ask ifanyone comes to take our order or we got to get on the line and of course we were told we had to get on the line..so we waitedfor the line to go down before my friend went up to order first and i stayed at the table so we don\'t lose the table. And whenshe was done I went up.\nThe cashier was nice.\n\nThey do give alot of food. But it was okay to me. I had fish(whiting) combo &shrimp w/ mac&chz, rice & corn. And an uptown drink. My friend got fish & wing combo w/ yams & mac&chz\nMy fish wasn\'t meatyand was fried too hard but my friends was just right. My shrimp was good.
