I live locally n have never really had the food here but I was in a hurry n needed something affordable n on the go. When I tell... you this man charged me 3.25each for a plain slice of pizza that tasted worse then a frozen pizza. It took 20 mins to warm. Healso stated that he would have to charge me n additional dollar if I was using a card.... so since my order my small I orderedmozz sticks to make my order larger. All together my order was 15 n he still charged me the additional dollar for using mycard. 16$ for two small plain slices and 4 mozz sticks!! Food does not match the price. The owner is taking advantage ofinflation in a neighborhood that struggles to begin with. Shame on him I will not support this establishment. Read more

I used to go here when my husband and I were first together. 4 years ago was the last time due to moving but we tried 2 of our... old favorites, tuna melt and Sicilian. I've never be so disgusted and disappointed in my life. This place wasn't just a pizzaspot, it was a memory. The tuna was old and disgusting. Lou knows the flavors, don't get this wrong. He's just not payingattention to the inventory or stopped caring. The Sicilian is the worst, I almost cried. I was trying to figure out how it wentwrong. The toppings of extra cheese and pepperoni were basic but Lou know how to season it, I tried it separately and it wasfine. The middle of the Sicilian was beautifully fluffy and a good seasoned dough. The top layer between the toppings and themiddle of the slice was fine but when I tried a piece of the bottom of the pie, I found out where it went wrong. They didn'tclean the oven. Imagine a grill or griddle full of old food and you just scrap the pieces off and instead of cleaning it, youkeep cooking on it. That pizza tasted like it was cooked on a few months, if not, years of that. I'm very sad to say this is thelast time ordering from here. I had to throw everything out. Lou is amazing but the fact that he stopped caring and it reflectson the food guts me. I wish you the very best, please let me know when you change the quality control and sanitary state of theplace. Excellent pizza without the overflow of cheap olive oil in other neighborhood pizzarias. The ingredients are all just right. ... Dedicated & local run, been serving schools and families for a while. No thrills just 100% take out! Read more

One of the most horrible places I have visited to eat literary the pizza was looking back at me. My "Conscience telling me why... are you lowering your standards to eat pizza " the guy never wear gloves, touch his face and made they pie just to deliver itwith his finger prints all over the pie. They say never judge a book by the cover Well I said the same about the Toxic Avengerand the movie as Raw just as this place is Added to never go again places ever. Read more

I grew up around the corner & it was my family's favorite pizzaria in the late 70's then I started dating my husband & we... started going on own in the 80's (that alone has been over 40 years) It's got to be a great place to have survived all theseyears even thru a pandemic! The owner is wonderful & the pizza is FANTASTIC! A regular/plain pie is still my favorite but myhusband has discovered the Sicilian pies & that may be his new go-to. We moved but still try to get here as much as we can because the pies are just THAT authentic as close to a NYC pizza that you can get in Jersey. Read more

Thick with 80s grime and pizza oils, if that's your thing. The pizza is middle of the road, everything else not worth ordering.... Always takes 1/2 an hour or more, twice the time as other places in the area. They add credit card surcharge of a couple buckswhich eliminates any savings u might get from buying here (they're cooking the books along with pizzas apparently). Rims, OTCmedications expired well over a decade ago and PS3/XBox 360 games are all available behind the counter for purchase at thisestablishment. It's a relic. Go here like you would a museum, once for the novelty, then never again. Read more

Best plain or pepperoni pizza in all of North jersey, In the Essex County. Crispy, not soggy, cheesy yet not heavy, and... something about that crust. Where is fluffy, flaky but it doesn't cut the roof of your mouth. Such simple ingredients Lou usesyet unique and familiar of good pizza. This is an example of what every pizza joint should taste like. It's not a spot for youto eat gourmet, it's a simple pizza joint, Pick it up and go. I don't recommend delivery. you want these bad boys straight outthe oven. Gracefully add oregano, gingerly sprinkle garlic seasoning, let the cheese rest for 5 min on your way home and devour. Been to this place since i was a child and the pizza has not changed, which is a good thing. Their milkshakes are also awesome.... Their zeppoles are another favorite of mine. The restaurant itself feels it could be a little cleaner, but the food is great. One thing to note is that they may cook their items in a non-kosher/halal oil. Read more
