I could have sworn that I had posted a review for this place long ago. It is famous for its burgers, and rightly so. They are... hugely generous in their proportions, though I would say that if you tend to order medium rare, order medium. Is it the bestburger in New Jersey? In flavor profile, honestly no, but it is still a very good burger in a very generous portion at a verycool location. If you're strictly looking for a bar, while this is not a bad option, there are better options in the Newarkarea. But if you are looking for a burger and a beer in the Newark area, this is the best option that I am aware of. Be awarethat parking sucks, but go and enjoy. Read more

Ordered: Buffalo Wings with blue cheese, Pizza Burger very well done, drinks Angry Orchid served ice cold! A bar on Wilson... Ave, Newark. Bartenders Claudia and Mikka. Claudia has an infectious smile. They close early though about 11pm. A lot ofroom and it has a parking lot! Wings were very tasty with special seasoning. Pizza burger really popped after asking for extradipping sauce. Sound system in the bar is very good, atmosphere is cool and cozy, plenty of room, rectangular shaped area. Willreturn and recommend. Great local "dive" bar restaurant. Food is surprisingly really great bar food. The employee garlic shrimp was phenomenal. Our... group mostly had burgers which looked incredible. Krugs is a hometown favorite known for their burgers - everyone has heard of this place but surprisingly many people have not... gotten around to going. Definitely take a moment out of your day to stop by and see what the hype is about, you will not bedissapointed. The burgers are great and the shrimp appetizer pictured is out of this world. Not a local Newark guy, raised in Philly, Charter Pilot now traveling worldwide. Had to drop off a coworker at the airport and... had heard about this place long ago. Decided to drop in and check it out. Parking was hard to find at 1900L. Was a hole in thewall for sure, which is right up my alley. I prefer local over chains every day. Sat at the bar and had a very warm welcome fromClaudia. She recommended the bacon cheeseburger, so I obliged. She alone makes the trip worth it, amazing customer service. Ifyou like a big, fat juicy hand made burger, this joint is what the doctor ordered. They absolutely killed it! My burger wasfresh, you see the patties get formed right in front of you. A little bit of a wait, but it?s worth it. Came out perfectlymedium well. Indulged in some cheesefries also, not my usual jam. They didn?t look as good as they actually were.
