Very good service and great ambiance, food and wine are the best in town.
Service is friendly and the flavors are delicious. But as a Portuguese-American raised in this neighborhood, I find portions are... an exaggeration of what an individual can or should eat and the prices have risen to the point that I can't eat a meal withoutshelling out lots of cash. I think portions should be smaller and prices should be more accessible and I'm sure no one agrees sogo ahead and enjoy, I just see how this could be better. Read more

I booked this restaurant together with my goddaughter for her mother?s retirement party because it?s very well located specially... for those who work at the international liberty Newark airport in Newark, nj . Well at the beginning everything was very slowand I even got up and asked for the waiter/ waitress assistance but once the amazing appetizers started coming out I was verydelighted. The package we chose included the appetizers ( garlic shrimps, Portuguese sausage, calamari and clams.) Then thechoice of the main course was amazing ( paella, paella valenciana, chicken Marsala, steak, salmon) even the dessert choice (flan, creme brûlée, chocolate mouse, rice pudding) they were all delicious options and great portions. I ordered this around 6:00- 6:30 pm on a Sunday. I arrived at 7:35 and when I gotten it. The bag was opened and food juice was... dripping out of the pan. I?m not new to eating paella/ paelha Valenciana.In fact I have eaten from this restaurant in personquite often. I don?t know what?s going on in the kitchen. Nor who was cooking but clearly the chef must have exited thebuilding. When you pay over $40 for a dish. Your are not looking forward to getting a half of a lobster, less than a five piecesof shrimp, scallops, four oysters, mussels,small chunks of fish, and some kind of meat. I couldn?t even identify that piece ofmeat. Oh yes I counted the shellfish. When I tasted the dish. It was god awful.,It was tasteless to say the least. Omg all ofthe shellfish tasted as if someone had just taken them straight out of water and placed them into the rice. Anyone that is a fanof paella knows that the rice and sauce makes the dish. Especially if the seafood has been seasoned well. You would findyourself holding them all in your mouth moving it around because it taste so good. When it taste that good you find yourselfeating more than one plate or bowl. Well that wasn?t the case with this dish. It was hideous I honestly wanted to cry ????. Whocommitted such an act in the kitchen of this great restaurant. I used to buy this dish and take it all the way back to my homestate to show folks what real Spaniard food taste like. The sight took you away long before the smell reached your nose. Thanonce you tasted it lord you just knew that the chef put their love of cooking into this dish.
