Hidden gem for all the vegans in the area!!! Evangelina was very welcoming, pleasant and patient with I. It's a quint little... shop with great vibes and color, I bought the homer doughnut and a coffee cake for 7 bucks or so not bad at all for veganconfections especially in these times. But the kicker was it was delicious, I thank God I live too far to be there daily!!!Because I can see this becoming an addiction and I don't want to go to rehab ????. We randomly spot Viva! Vegan when leaving another storefront and decided to give it a try. We initially expected a vegan version... of smoothies, but realized (with explanation) that smoothies were not offered here. My açaí bowl was absolute perfection.While my girls were disheartened by lack of smoothies, they opted to share a donut which they agreed was rather tasty. Theywould have more foot traffic if closer to the University side of Main Street or in the shopping center. It was empty when wewent on a Saturday afternoon, and the associates did not know all of the specifics with items on the menu. We waited about 25minutes for our items to be prepared. I love this place. I can?t believe I used to go to other places for baked good, food, and ACAÍ bowls when Viva Vegan has it all... in one place. I just finished the best Acaí bowl of my life. Now, I am about to eat some banana bread. Can?t wait to spend allof my money at this woman owned shop. Read more
The donuts and other baked small treats are nicely done! In particular, we love her cake and use her for all our custom cakes.... Some vegan cakes we've gotten from other places in Delaware are dry or too wet, but hers are always just right and a hit withour non-vegan guests, too. And she uses really high quality ingredients you can't get from other bakers who do vegan cakes. Read more
