Best chicken over rice in delaware and beyond! I am a chicken over rice fanatic and have tried most if not all chicken over rice... food carts/brick mortar locations. Shahs halal is hands down the best in my opinion. Chicken is well marinated and portions arejust right. The Sauce is where they beat their competitors. The white sauce is great and their hot sauce is the best you willfind. Period! The store manager Eileen is very pleasant and meticulous. Great location, great staff and great food! Read more
Good Halal spot in Newark. Chicken and Lamb over rice was well seasoned and had a spicy kick. Tried the green sauce also, a... cilantro lime chili that provided a nice sweet taste. Recommend Shah?s if you are looking for Halal food in the Newark area. Read more
Shah?s food is so good! The restaurant is very clean! The food is fresh! The customer service is impecable! The ladies do not... spare the sauce! As I am writing this review, it is my fourth time visiting and eating at Shah?s. I haven?t been disappointedonce. Very nicely priced! Try it! You will like it! Let?s start off by acknowledging the beautiful spirits that greet you upon entering the restaurant. The staff is warm and... inviting and TRUST that their recommendations are not misleading. I purchased a bottle of the white sauce and hot sauce. I?mwaiting for them to bottle the cilantro dressing!!!! Now, me meal, the felafel gyro was flavorful and made to perfection. Amazing! Placed a last minute take out order and my food was ready relatively quickly. I ordered a bunch of mixed combo... platters and everyone loved their order. Shahs? rice is better than any other platter rice I?ve had. The lady at the registerwas so pleasant and helpful. Restaurant is nice and clean with plenty of sitting area. Very nice place to eat. We tried most of the things on there menu. And everything is great. Specially try there chicken over... rice, easily the best in DE. Chicken steak and fries. Fries are very nice . Not your out of packet fries that you can getanywhere. More like seasoned potato wedges. And chicken steak is actually a like steak. Most halal places in Delaware givenormal chicken cubes in there steaks. Or some chicken kabob in steak . But they put real chicken steak slice in it, they way youfind steak in philly. I dined here for lunch on 12/02/22 and I'm glad I did. The lamb over rice platter was out of this world (so good that I ate... everything). The staff was super friendly and let me sample three of their sauces (white, green, and red), all of which werevery flavorful.
