Food: ok service: great I’d not go back, but it’s worth the try Ricotta strawberries: nothing special. The toast is very... tasty with a lot of flavor; the ricotta with strawberries isn’t that interesting Refreshing dish but not too unique Rabbitlegs: very good! The crust has the right flavor, the meat could be softer, and I loved the butter/lime sauce. Perfectcombination Raclette Burger: disappointing. my first time trying pomme dauphine and I liked the texture and taste of it. Theburger was burned and the flavor in general was “not gourmet”. We asked the staff to return it Roast chicken: interesting -good but I didn’t love it. The presentation was very nice. Chicken was lacking flavor. although the sauce had fresh herbs, theoil taste was a little overpowering. Service: I believe her name is Genevieve. She was extremely attentive and sells the foodsuper well!!!! She described the dishes with details and shared her opinion, which made our lives easier choosing the dishes. She took feedback very well and we were very happy with her service. She suggested a mocktail that was very refreshing (bloodorange with ginger etc), well done! Read more
Was pleasantly surprised! Figured this would be New American Restaurant with Alcohol #353 but am glad to be wrong. Definitely... more unique than that. This is a review of dinner. Smaller menu but everything was really good! Had the fried rabbit legs, raclette burger, both of which I'd highly recommend. The burger was perfect, I was pretty shocked given this isn't a dedicatedburger place. The sticky toffee cake I had was... well it is sticky and it is toffee! The description is very accurate so Ihonestly do not recommend it if your expecting a basic cake that has toffee flavoring. But if you want an authentic version ofit definitely order it! Even the chips they gave us to munch on were pretty good! Apparently fried in-house. Drinks are alsoreasonably priced and decent quality. Service was at first maybe too infrequent (the restaurant was empty and we were the onlyones in the back, so maybe they forgot about us at times), but after our first dishes came out they were very attentive. Wonderful dinner for two on Saturday evening. Brand new menu from when I was there last. Asked for recommendations from our... server and she didn’t lead us astray. We tried the sourdough toast with clams which was incredibly tasty and the potatogratin (I could have eaten two of those!!) For mains we ordered the rye dumplings and grilled pork. The dumplings were myfavorite. Think a mini pastrami sandwich in a dumpling with homemade dressing. I’m not a huge grilled pork fan but it wastasty and the squid ink risotto served with it was addictively good. As we had a show to get to, we didn’t get a chance totry the deserts but any we saw looked delicious. Definitely more of a restaurant feel in the back room when compared to yourstandard bars in the area. Great experience and looking forward to trying more of the menu next time. Read more
I only tried the pork, and it was delicious, beyond any expectations I had. It reminded me of aged beef with a musky flavor and... marbled fat. The squid ink gave an interesting complexity to the meat and the rice. Read more
