Thank you for such a wonderful meal and overall experience!! A+++ service all the way!! Food was delicious and service was... impeccable. We ordered for Thanksgiving dinner and gave a very short timeframe. They were so sweet and gracious, walked usthrough the order, so although order was placed online, they took the time to ensure everything was correct. Food, delicious!!! Read more

I had a chance to meet the owner, and try their chickpea & Jollof Tacos. I am proud to say this restaurant is in good hands.... The tacos were fantastic and filled with flavor. The owner is full of joy so the food is made with love. If you are ever in themood try something new head over to Voila Afrique and try her Tacos!!!! Read more

There needs to be ten stars for this secret gem. The first time I experienced this beautiful food, I called the restaurant... gushing gratitude, it is that amazing. It feels like the food you need, like the food your mom wanted to make you and so fresh.Beyond the flavor it?s clear every mouthful was made with love. I cannot recommend enough, this is a rare one, let?s celebrateor luck! Read more

First I will like to say that I am not African by birth but I am a West Indian that knows and loves good tasting food with... plenty flavor. I have been searching for a Ghanian restaurant close to where I work in Manhattan forever. I am not sure how newthis spot is, but I am beyond excited it is here and I pray to stay. I ordered the Egusi with pounded yam for myself, Beef Stewfor my boyfriend and stew chicken for my 7 year old. My boyfriend and my daughter destroyed his food together lol because shewanted the beef and not the chicken which she failed to mention. But she loved it, filled her up fast. The Egusi was so much Ibrought it home and just finished it for breakfast. The only disappointing thing for me was the kelewele. But that's not thefault of the restaurant. I only had Kelewele once before from a Ghanian restaurant in Queens and it was delicious, sweet andcrunchy. However this one had too much ginger for me and was diced smaller. It was very overpowering and spicy. Now being that Iam not Ghanian and I only had it once before, I don't know which Kelewele I had is the correct way. But for my tastebuds, Iprefer the one without ginger. Even though I love Ginger, not on this one. But other than that everything was great and I willdefinitely be ordering from them more. Read more

Oui c'est bon! This is that place you've been looking for. Fantastic food, cooked to delicious perfection. Had a few hours while... passing though NYC and found this slice of west African heaven. The jollof rice with goat meat stew was packed with flavor, fresh, and spiced really nice. I'm coming back for the fufu and egusi next time! Read more

Can?t recommend this highly enough!! Hidden gem very close to grand central. Everything is prepared fresh and it shows. Below... are some recommendations based on what I?ve tried: - rice combo. You get a choice of ?sauce? and one of their rices (jollof, coconut fried, white, etc). The sauce can be vegetarian. Personally I recommend the ?stew? with mackerel - its spicy, richtomato based and VERY TASTY. - Egusi. This dish is made from ground melon seeds combined with salted fish/shrimp, collardgreens. It has a great texture that at first seems like firmer scrambled eggs, very rich flavor. -bases. These are ?roundloaves? made of various gluten free starches (corn meal, cassava, etc). Very fresh and perfect for dipping into a stew or sauce. If you?re not a rice fan consider buying a couple of bases and pair with a soup or stew. If you are from the Caribbean and miss?ground provisions? you will probably like this. One last note: There isn?t that much seating inside so you may want to opt fordelivery or take out. Read more
