I enjoyed my dinner at Tulcingo Del Valle. This is as authentic Mexican food as you can find! The atmosphere: is a small place.... I sat outside, which was nice, but there were not many tables inside and a small bar. The staff: were very friendly and helpfulin explaining items and recommending dishes. They were a bit slow on service but the food and up for that. The food: I was abig fan of it. The guacamole and salsa starter was fresh with the right amount of heat. I got the ribs in green salsa, and oh mygosh, were they good. So tender with just the right amount of spice. And, of course, the rice and beans were donecorrectly. The wonderful family who runs this restaurant put their heart and soul into it. During the pandemic, while other places could... not make it, these people doubled their efforts and actually flourished. For instance, the owner himself was making deliverieswhen needed. I love this spot! The food here is as authentic Mexican food as you can find in the neighborhood. A lot of the competitors... surrounding Hell's Kitchen tend to be more Americanized, however, Tulcingo Del Valle has proven to stay true to their roots. It?s hard to mess up queso or a burrito but this place surely did. If I could give it zero stars I would. The ?queso? was a pile... of hard cheese covered in grease and the burrito was all fatty meat. We asked for two water cups and they said they don?t dothat?
