Good service. Food not as tasty as other Chinese restaurants but that could be the Shanghai style. We enjoyed it. Friendly staff
Tipsy Shanghai is an amazing restaurant! The food was delicious. We started off with the steamed pork dumplings (my fav) and the... Wuxi pork ribs (the meat practically melted off the bone). Next we tried the osmanthus salted duck (very good if you like saltyfood) and lastly we split boiled green vegetables in chicken broth (to balance out all the meat). 5/5 place and don?t forget toget their house tea too! On June 11, myself and two of my girlfriends randomly visited Tipsy Shanghai to dine before heading to a yellow and white boat... ride. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with the food and service. Our server gave us some history on Chinese cuisine andtaught us how to use the chopsticks. Their Braised Beef Noodle and Wonton soups were delicious!! I wish we could've orderedmore.. We are planning to visit again before the Summer is over. I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant!! You willnot be disappointed. Read more
They have very small portion of food, and Too many other things in one dish. For example:we ordered Braised Shredded Eel W.... Garlic , not only it?s a very small dish, but the eel was 20% and the onion was 80%. The ?Abalone La Mei? has only TWO abalone ,a couple of green leafs, and all plain noodles! The worst dish was ?Sweet & Sour Ribs? which is so tough and chewy and wecouldn?t ate it at all! I complained to the waitress and she said it?s supposed to be this way. The lunch for three of us cost$110 plus I gave them $11 tips, but we are still hungry. Not recommended. Read more

The atmosphere was ok with the decorations. A lot of issues with the food, where to start. Pan fried XLB while juicy were very... small. Wuxi ribs first order came out room temp on one side and refrigerator cold on the other. Salted duck and eel were ok. Allbroccoli little shrimp on that dish. Mapo tofu heat is off, feels like a fruity hot sauce was used instead of Sichuapeppercorns, tofu was good and silky. Eight treasure rice came out ok, would have liked more treasures covering the bottom likeit's homemade. Service was quick and changed plates as needed. Read more
