Easily one of the best meals in the city with a broad mix of Korean-fusion options. All dishes are small plates and come out as... they are ready. It's difficult to settle on what your favorite is because they're all incredible...when you think you foundyour #1 the next round comes and turns you all around. The steak, Korean fried chicken, and edamame dumplings are amust-order! If I had to give any small criticism, the cocktails while fun and glowing in their little pouches are just ok. There are plenty of other great options and honestly you're here for the food anyway. Read more

The girl I started dating called this “her favorite place” so she took me to try a few things. I was seriously impressed.... The kimchi paella was good, the steak was fantastic, the Korean popcorn chicken was also awesome, but the best things were thegnocchi and the dumplings. The dumplings have such an incredible flavor that is enhanced by the citrus truffle oil. It’sseriously outrageous. Lastly, the gnocchi. It was so good that if it were socially acceptable I would’ve sipped on the broth.Outstanding place. Read more

Creative Korean tapas and inventive fare, but ultimately fell short of the critical acclaim and lofty expectations. The food... was quite good, but also very heavy: fried, lots of fat (and not a ton of protein), and more “comfort” than “style”. Yesthe Mac N Cheese and Korean Popcorn chicken are yummy, but that applies for fast food too… and Thursday Kitchen is supposed tobe gourmet! Restaurant is walk-in only and I waited 35 minutes for a table for 2 at 6:30pm on a Saturday. Later on the waitgets closer to 1-2 hours, depending on size. Service and ambiance were both good. Overall it’s a solid spot, but Isignificantly prefer Mokyo (the sister one). But if Korean comfort food is your thing, you’ll love it! Read more

The food is amazing! The experience however, not so much. First of all, you cannot make reservations ahead of time. You can only... come in and put your name down on the list (and they text you when your table is ready), we waited 40 minutes on a Thursdaynight, then it’s so very crowded inside while the place is not so large, and there is only one bathroom for all customers andemployees, which is not the best experience waiting 15 min to use the bathroom. I give this place 3 stars because the food isreally really good, hence how popular it is. But the experience can be a lot better.. Read more

Inventive Korean fusion and home style favorites small plates. Glowing cocktails and diverse beverage list. Popcorn chicken and... edamame dumplings were standouts followed by Kimchi seafood paella. Go early if you don’t have a reservation. Read more

If you're looking to come in for just good food then there are other places that can deliver for a better value, however I... conclude this is a good place for a group of friends planning to have drinks and food. We came here on a Thursday eveningassuming it wouldn't be packed, but I was wrong. The wait was an hour but luckily my home was just a few blocks away. I came inwith high expectations after countless rave reviews from social media about this place. Their dimly-lit ambiance was a nicetouch but I cannot help notice that almost everybody here could be from NYU. I didn't pay any more attention to that and orderedthe edamame dumplings, korean popcorn chicken, truffle mac n cheese and steak. We got the edamame dumplings first and it wasstrange tasting - totally different from what I expected and I didn't know if that was how it was intended to taste. The dumpingwas also thicker and tougher than it should be for its dumpling size. Then came the truffle mac and cheese which was prettygood...too heavy to be a dish alone, but perfect to complement another dish. After, the korean popcorn chicken was basicallytypical General Tso Chicken with sweet sauce and was cooked more thoroughly for a more smoky char flavor...I seriously paid $15for this when I can get this at my local Chinese joint for half the price and double the portion? It was lacking something, so Idecided to put a spin to it with the truffle mac and cheese and then it turned out SO BOMB (see picture). Lastly, the steak wasdefinitely the highlight of all the dishes and the feta grits added a nice contrasting touch to it. I really don't get how thereare more rave reviews about the General Tso Chicken-wannabe dish than this steak dish. I guess NYU kids prefer takeout-stylefood. Considering the mediocre food, steep price/size ratio, and long wait times I can say that I will not be coming back hereanytime soon knowing I have better options elsewhere with improvements in those three departments.
