My FAVORITE pastry shop in NYC! Highly recommend everyone to give it a try! I stayed in NYC for a week and visited three times... for either breakfast or afternoon desserts. EVERYONE please try their pastries (especially Napoleon cake!!) Read more
Amazing pastry. Good recommendations from friendly staff. Very good latte that has a reasonably sized (ie not huge) option. Not... inexpensive (for a non-New Yorker not accustomed to city prices), but high quality. Would be delighted to return. Read more
Biggest and best croissant you?ll find on the UWS, and honestly nothing else compares to it in the pastry case! Plus the price... is right and the coffee refills are free. Just don?t sit outside (because you?ll get attacked by the tiny annoying sparrowsliterally jumping onto your plate for croissant crumbs). Read more
The place is packed, and it?s understandable ! The staff is SUPER nice even during rush hours, their coffees are killers, so are... their pastries. They don?t have signs to tell you what the pastries are, but they will gladly talk you through everything if youask, even during a rush :) one last important thing, which is rare in New York and that I love : they don?t put loud music in.So if you are looking for a calm, respectful place to read or just be, go there ! Amazing pastries with large selection, good coffee, old school laid back ambience, low prices(approx $5 per pastry)and ample... seating. A great place to either meet up with someone or sit and read/write. Quite popular and thus there is usually a 5-10 minwait at peak coffee times. Accept both cash and debit/credit. They don't display prices though. We had the lemon pie, saccertorte and Hungarian coffee. The lemon pie was phenomenal with a great lemon flavor and smooth texture and delightfulshaved coconut base which tasted amazing. The saccertorte had a chocolate shell with raspberry jam that paired well with a niceinterior. The Hungarian coffee was quite good and was not really bitter and came with a whipped cream topping. FANTASTIC old school pastry shop, felt in Europe, they have outdoor seating. There is a line sometimes to the corner, it goes... fast and well worth it! A very large selection of pastries which are constantly moving. I wanted to try ALL of them :) allappetizing. Tried the linzer tart and strudel - SPOT ON one of the most tasty, freshly baked, made to perfection pastries, paired with the latte. Very nice ambiance, pleasant staff, good prices and delicious old fashion pastries. Read more
