The exquisite silver soup is so savory and umami!!! I took a box of broth to go after having drink it a lot. The broth is... extremely tasty for non meat, but the quality of all sorts of meat here is also high end and their special soy sauce is perfectfor it. Overall very satisfying hot pot experience! We are fans of hot pot and The Dolar Shop is one of our favorites in NYC. This was our first time visiting their location in... East Village and the decor is impressively cozy & wide-spaced. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and served everythingquickly. We got their signature Exquisite Silver Broth, Tomato & Oxtail Broth and Szechuan Hot & Spicy Broth. The best broth inour opinions is their signature Silver broth and the ingredients which came with the broth, especially the chicken, wasdelicious. Most meat & veggies we ordered were fresh with high quality and we recommend to have their chewy shrimp Pâté andtender 10 Sec. Beef Tongue. The Dolar Shop is a hot pot restaurant but they serve delicious & satisfying soft serve which makesthe entire dining experience perfect. Read more

We went to NYC for the first time, my daughter found this restaurant on Yelp and we took the bus from Central Park to this... place. We’re surprised with the name, but we went inside and the place was very nice. It’s supposed to be a Japanese hot pota la cart restaurant, it’s kinda same as Shabuya in Milpitas, CA. The price of each plate is reasonable with the quality offood they give. We have to pay for each broth differently from $10-15. I got the house, my wife got the spicy one, my daughterand son got the dual broth spicy and reg. They’re all tasty. The only thing different with the buffet is the vegetables, herewe have to pay, the noodles. Every table has its own tablet for customers to order. We ordered 2 portions of beef, my sonfavorite pot belly. All meats tasted perfectly with the broths. There’s sauce bar which we had to get the sauce to mix for ourown taste. The service was excellent, everyone was fast and attentive. My daughter loved the sweet corn. Yes, it cost more todine here but we liked it, we wanted to come back for the early birds but we didn’t have time since we had so many places totry. If we ever visit NYC, we definitely visit this place again since we got free ice cream. Read more
The food was really good and everything was super fresh. I loved all the options but wished there were a few more vegetable... options. I had the tomato broth and it was amazing and the hot sezchuan broth was no joke. It was HOT! I loved the freshhandmade noodles. The texture and chew was amazing. I also really loved that everyone got their own broth and that vegetarianoptions are available. We had a vegetarian in the group and she said her broth needed seasoning. But my review doesn’t includeher comments because I thought mine was great. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a hot pot place. Read more

There really aren’t many options for single person hot pot in Manhattan, so even though @thedolarshopusa is pretty pricey, I... still visit it once in a while. The broth is really yummy and definitely spicy enough. The ingredients are good too (I love fishfillet and tofu), and they have some other yummy dishes available if you want something other than hot pot! Read more
