It has been a long time since I haven’t felt this way about a venue; I had such a lovely experience I cannot recommend them... enough! I do not come to Lower East side a lot and it was by pure luck that I discovered it. I walked in on a Saturday eveningwaiting for my next engagement, set at the bar and was welcomed warmly by the owners, chef Maurizio and his lovely wife Andrea.I realized that most of the customers were frequenters and despite it being a busy Saturday evening, Maurizio spotted me as anew comer and welcomed me personally (and checked in throughout the evening) to make sure I was happy with the service and thefood (which was amazing!). I had chicken parm served with “Cacio e Pepe” which was such a delice! And finished with lemonpanna cotta and espresso. Wine was really good, too. It is not very cheap but you get what you pay for. Such a homey restaurant(with a lovely garden for summer) so I totally recommend it, for both the food and the old school neighborhood restaurant wibethat we miss a lot these days. Read more
