Taszo is an absolute gem in the neighborhood, a respite with a bohemian, and eclectic vibe. First, let's state the obvious:... they don't have wifi in the cafe and have limited laptop use during the day (you are allowed to to use a laptop, but only duringthe weekdays and with certain hours). So, if you're looking for a cafe to work at with wifi for hours on end, this is not aplace for you. Sure, you could say this affects their business, but that's the cafe's business decision, and it certainly doesnot affect the business I give them! But, if you're looking for a place to unplug, enjoy your coffee, tea or pastry, read,write, or have a conversation, this is a perfect spot, and for this very reason, I LOVE it. They offer coffee, espresso drinks,tea, and a small selection of pastries (no wine even though the website and signage outside says so). I am more of a tea drinkerand favor the iced hibiscus tea. The music is usually mid-tempo and eclectic, and the volume is never too loud. I had beenliving in the neighborhood for a while and had been in here once or twice but what caught my eye again was the new sushi thatwas being served inside the cafe (MON - SAT 3-9, as of this review's posted date). I love sushi, so of course had to try it out!The sushi is prepared by Asa and the limited menu offers fresh rolls, sashimi, or donburi bowls. I have returned for sushi 4times in the last month! The ingredients are fresh, the price is right, and it feels homemade, in the best way. I will make myway through the menu, but I have since tried the Cali-Kani, Avocado, and Salmon Avocado rolls and the donburi bowls. I enjoyedeverything I had! The cafe has a unique character, is cozy, and the staff are friendly. If you prefer wifi and a chain cafe,head next door, but if you want to have some true relaxation, in a unique space, take in the vibes at Taszo, and tip yourservers well. First came here a couple years ago where I first tried oat milk (which was made on site at the time). Visited again this year... for delicious coffee and vegetarian quiche. Definitely on my list should I come back to the neighborhood nfuture years Read more
The sushi here is amazing!!! Great coffee and pastries, even sandwiches. Pretty much everything here is upscale. It?s the best... place in the entire WaHi area to come to relax and talk or just chill. It?s a quirky stylish low-key vibe here. Love it! Read more

Best coffee shop in the neighborhood. It is not a chain, the owner sticks around and cares about every detail. I?ve never seen a... coffee shop transform over the years so much just to improve and change things up. There is plenty of outdoor seating. They alsohave the best cold brew in the city. Read more
Love this spot! I ordered an iced caramel latte, best one I've had in a while. My friend got a negroni cocktail, it was very... fragrant and the bartender was really cool! Best best for good vibes and a coffee or cocktail. Just make sure you have cash orvenmo! Read more
What a wonderful place! This is an amazing and unique coffee house in the highest Manhattan. Taszo offers tasty and delicious... pastries and variety of high-quality coffee surrounded by an authentic atmosphere. We visited the coffee house for the firsttime and the experience was beyond our expectations, the kindness in the service was a surprise, you know that the Big Applesometimes can be a little tough but the Taszo team members did a great effort preparing something special for my littlecub. this is one of my favorite regular spots, I so appreciate going here both to meet friends and to occasionally read and work.... Their black coffee is really nice, the staff are super chill. I also appreciate their laptop policy (laptops allowed, but onweekdays and in certain seats only), I think it helps maintain a good vibe in the shop, and I appreciate that they are upfrontabout their rules.
