Walking by this restaurant I noticed they offered a lunch special so I had to give it a try. So glad I did! The lunch special is... a remarkable deal. The salad and miso soup was the perfect starter. Followed with tempura tofu in a fish sauce. Finally the donchicken katsu and egg over rice made me truly understand what it's like having a traditional Japanese meal. With that said, Ididn't even get to try their sushi or other fish entrees. I have to come back for dinner. Read more

Great little neighborhood Japanese restaurant! Doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in, it had a great... vibe; like you were transported to a traditional Japanese bar. Amazing servers along with incredible food. Reasonably priced forthe quality of food and presentation. Shrimp sumai is a definite must! Read more

With the pandemic this place has changed it?s quality and some portion sizes. The most notable one is the decision to charge $... for teriyaki sauce even when spending hundreds of dollars on pick up orders. I understand there might be a necessity (why onlyteriyaki and not ginger or soy?) but there?s a way not to aggravate your clients (especially on large purchases). Used to be5-stars, now only 2/3 in my opinion. Read more

Takahaci is a beautiful little gem in the neighbourhood. The atmosphere was calm and zen and the decor was amazing. I highly... recommend the specials. I got the sashimi so platter with toro, scallops and striped jack(?) which were all super fresh anddelicious. The toro melted in my moth and the scallops had such incredible texture and flavour. I also ordered the Superman tillwhich was HUGE but delicious and the miso soup which was one of the best miso soups I ever had. The flavour was light andcomplex with some shiitake and orange hints and it was super fresh. We also ordered the cloudy sake which was a perfect lightparing with everything! Only thing we didn?t like was the shabu shabu salad which was a bit dry but they were great with dealingwith that. Read more

Very average sushi place. Rice was not properly cooked and the sushi didn't hold together. The green tea crepe tasted like a big... scoop of butter. Read more

Went out for sushi on a whim and it was an amazing experience. Ocean?s 13 was delicious with perfect blend of fish, rice, and... toppings. A bit pricy but worth a try. Karage chicken was juicy, the breading was flavorful, and perfect amount of tangy toserve as an appetizer. Spicy tuna roll was great as well but now let?s talk about the star of the show- Seared Salmon. I havebeen to quite a few sushi places in the city and not many have seared salmon, actually this was the first one i found in a year. So, seared salmon lovers, this place is you sanctuary. I am definitely going back for some seared salmon. I don?t remember theprice, didn?t even check because they were that good! If you end up going, ping me with the price ???? Read more
