Pizza in NYC can easily be subdivided into several categories, this joint falls in to what I would call ?Classic NYC?... pizza. This is a quality slice. The dough is awesome evident from the crust. There is a slight char to the crust which elevatedthe pie from a basic old school slice to something more contemporary. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness whilestill maintaining some acid. And the cheese is there but doesn?t try to steal the show. My buddy Howard gave me the inside linethat a pepperoni slice ???? with Mikes Hot Honey ???? was the jam so, that?s what I went with. I also added a slice withjalapeño as it just came out of the oven. So good. The pepperoni is that ever popular small cup which fortunately in the caseof Scarr?s doesn?t Pool up grease?but you know it?s there. The honey is a nice touch. All in all, the pizza deserves to berecognized as a top NYC slice and the vibe is cool. Come early unless you like to wait in a line. Read more

An iconic NYC pizza joint. This place is a MUST try. The original pie is up there with all the best pizzas in the city. Tangy... sauce, doughy but crispy, and the best crust. Grandmas pie is also another phenomenal pizza. Their vegan Caesar is delicious. Itis cashew based so heads up to those with nut allergy?s. We got it Togo and it travels well. Nothing beats it fresh out the ovenin person so stop by next time you?re around. Read more

There was a line that took about 10 minutes to wait in but definitely worth the wait! The crust on the square slices was airy,... crispy and the pepperoni and cheese were packed with flavor. The regular pepperoni slice was a little on the oily side but stillhad a light crunch with each bite and was my favorite out of the 4 Read more

Definitely one of the best pizzas I?ve ever had. I?m born and bread New Yorker. This is my first time going here and it did not... disappoint! Nice crunch beautiful undertone. Great flavor just an amazing slice. Highly recommend going early during the daymaybe 12pm 2-3pm because there?s always a line. It?s a very small spot and it get packed! Try going also Mon-Wed if possible.Less crowded. Read more

This place is legit! You know you're in for a good time when a pizza joint has a line out the door. And we did have to wait a... while for our slices (around 30 min when the line was about 8-10 people deep). But the wait was worth it! We ordered a classiccheese slice and a Sicilian cheese. Delicious! Loved the crunch but chewiness of the dough here. Also the sauce wasn't overlysweet like at other places (I'm looking at you Joe's and 2 Bros). There was also a perfect amount of cheese on each slice aswell -- not too much to ruin the integrity of the slice. Each slice is a bit pricy, but it is what it is. My only gripe is thatthere's only 3 people in the place and 2 of them are working on making the pizzas (other is a manger of some sort). This makesthe actual pizza making very slow and it took a long time to get our pizza. Overall, great spot and one of the best slices I've Read more

First time and definitely won?t be my last! The line was a bit long but it was a worth it! Especially since we were able to get... a seat in the back and sit at the bar. The slices were great but their grandma corner slices with pepperoni were a bit too soggyfor me. Overpriced can?s of soda but im not surprised since everything is getting pricey in NYC. I did like their customerservice with the female bartender and they had a variety of alcohol choices. I loved the decoration in the back with one of myfavorite movies (Coming to America) on their walls. Their music was great too! Hip hop playing & the vine was pretty cool. Iwould def. like to come back and enjoy my pizza in their booths. Read more

Crispy pizza . Great flavor. Friendly staff. The operation seems to be small so you have to wait for a slice - which I like .... They don?t have pies laying around all day. Seems the make a pie as they?re out - since busy they make fresh pizzas frequently.Cute tight back seating. Read more

I went to this pizza joint because it was close to where I was staying and open late at night. The pizza here is fairly solid... Pizza, slices are huge, and there is a pretty good mix of cheese on the pizza. It's a small little hole in the wall joint, seating is limited inside, but good place to stop off and get some slices and enjoy yourself. Probably one of the better pizzasfor this area. Read more
