An excellent late-nite spot in the East Village. You'll be getting such a different selection of food than every other deli in... the city -- and it's such a refreshing experience! Get the large plate with 3 sides if you want a full meal for cheap. Or grabthe samosas for a delicious snack. Read more
Don?t be mistaken for the size of the Deli, it serves quite a variety of lunch dishes with rice/roti, along with other quick... appetizers, sweets and snacks. I?d the Aloo tikki + channa and also tried the kheer. Everything reminded of home. Read more

Very affordable home-like food. This would be more of a local hidden gem. This place is cash only but $10 goes a long way here
Hole-in-the-wall style punjabi deli across from Katz?s with a rotating menu of bhajis (vegetables/curries). It?s really cheap... too especially considering the area it?s in ($6 for a plate of rice with 2 veg, and $2 samosas). 100% vegetarian deli andcash-preferred/cash-only. Service is kinda slow but the food is served hot! Food itself was solid. The samosa was my favorite.Do yourself a favor and check out this awesome deli! Read more
