This is the best Popeyes in NYC. As a person who grew up in the South but now living in the City, people always ask me where do... I get Fried Chicken. Back home, the go-to would be Publix 8 piece, obviously, or one of a number of local joints. In NYC,Popeyes is actually one of the better chicken places around. Yes, I've been to Red Rooster and Amy Ruth's. I've even had a bunchof Korean Chicken places as well, but they have been either too dry, too much batter, or just not consistently good. Food was at best average - greasy, oil soaked chicken and coleslaw with way too much sugar. The fries are most likely cooked in... the same oil with the chicken so taste the same; seafood mix was ite with little flavour. Have a go and try it yourself but youmight be better off going to the Wing stop next door. Popeyes is the best fried chicken in NYC from a chain restaurant. It is centrally located on Lexington near Baruch College.... Staff is friendly and efficient, the menu options are great and has a wide variety of offerings. Fried Strawberry Cheesecake isa winner. Must try! Read more
I love Popeyes and have eaten at a lot of different stores. This one is by far my favorite! They move the lines fast, they?re... well staffed and courteous, and the food is always delish. They?re takeout operation is top notch. Read more
They know how to give you a pro service , clean around and friendly stuffs make your visit glorious and joyful.
While I do find the fresh fried chicken satisfactory, it's the service that could do for a little polishing. Servers are... impatient, short with you, and act agitated as if performing their job is a bother. Manager is cool though. Also, even thoughevenly priced @$2.99, they wouldn't allow me to swap one of my 3 sides out for the 1/4lb popcorn shrimp. Good food, subparservice at best. Read more
