Today a friend and I tried Pita Press for the first time. I am no expert on Greek food by any means so this is just the opinion... of someone who loves food! The staff was super friendly and kind. They took the time to explain some of the differences in thechicken dishes. I had the chicken souvlaki plate with the home cut fries. The chicken portion could have been a bit moregenerous (4-chunks) but had the nice flavors from the grill. The fries were clearly handcut by the variety of shapes and we'regood. The salad was my least favorite part and was a bit soggy. It was a bit pricey but def comparable to other lunch prices inthe area. We will def be back though! Overall it was a winner! Read more

Pretty terrible place. Last 2 times I got an absolutely not edible soggy salad. I just ended up eating only meat. It used to... be my favorite spot. Read more

Quality Greek food. Wish they would give more napkins to you with your gyro sandwiches. Lamb gyro was my favorite

The food came relatively quickly and tasted good. However the images would have you believe there was seating to dine in. There... were no seats that you could eat on the bar counter tops. Other than standing to eat at the counters the food was not bad. Itseems more of a to go place. The beef and lamb were good and flavorful not dry or too oily. The cauliflower side was reallygood. Very filling. The spinach pie was also different then others for the doughy texture but it wasn't bad at all. Read more

Pita press is close to vacationing on a Greek island eating that nice juicy meat, or their gyros. I am glad its in the... neighborhood. They food is very authentic, great flavors, lots of greens and proteins. Has option for vegans as well. I lovetheir prasini salad with some grilled chicken souvlaki. It the perfect portion and size. Ive also order their family meals, andwow i had leftover for the next day. Portion feeds 4 people. Highly recommend this spot for takeout, when your fridge is low.Quality of food is on point! Update 12/22/21 i needed something that would give me energy and keep my tummy warm. I had theGreek fish soup. It was tasty, flavorful, and just the right amount. 5/5. Read more

This place saves me a trip to Astoria! Authentic dishes and on point flavors. Love that they have biftek for when I need a... protein fix without lambie. Health hack: it?s all the flavor of a burger without the extra carbs of a bun, fat of cheese andbacon and sauces. Have gotten takeout twice since NY pause, both times food was hot and flavorful. Would like to try salad withbiftek but Ritual app doesn?t give that option. Nice bench area next door to rest or eat your pita. I took mine home so I couldadd my extra sauces and herbs. Read more

I ordered takeout and I ordered half rotisserie chicken with salad and hand cut fries (comes with pita bread). Value: it will... will feel you up but you'll pay least $11. Taste: Great taste and soft to your taste buds. It's not too salty or too bland justright. Portion size: Above average Staff: Helpful and friendly Location: Somewhat hidden. It can be tempting to go toChipotle, Roti or Dos Toros. I will definitely return for more. Read more
